I find this argument to be beyond ironic now that we're in the days of designated "safe spaces" on college campuses that are only for students who are POC (unless that C is Asian, of course), and when you have schools and companies developing programs specifically excluding whites.
The Democrats of old would be delighted to see that the modern incarnation of their party has succeeded at something they could never manage: making black people WANT segregation.
Marcus, We ARE sliding into "separate but equal", SORT OF! The "separate" part is, indeed, becoming reality, as we see more and more race/gender/woke groups demanding, and RECIEVING, exclusive benefits for themselves to balance the, so-called, white oligarchy/privilege issue. Detractors not allowed! And the "equal" part? Not even close! it is more like a new "privilege" group is ascending to power and influence, and THAT is NOT "equal"!
I mean the equal part likely equal back in the days of segregated schools, trains, water fountains, etc. Segregation and apatheid are always like this -- one group ruling over the other.
Yep. 99% of American history made explicity clear that things were "white only" Now, when people chose to socialize/live with those of similar background
Now, you've got a problem with it?
See, I was given explicit and implicit daily messages growing up and throughout my life by America that I was not white. Now, you want people to pretend that didn't happen?
That's not an example. That is people chosing freedom of association. Sorry.
Yep for 99% of America's existence it supported a racial caste system, regional apartheid and only granted full citizenship to African-Americans in 1965.
Should have never had to be issues in front of the Supreme Court to begin with.
Folks had no problem with it then, so people don't need to get twisted up about black kids wanting to live in a dorms or off-campus housing with other black students now.
it is over stop living in the past , shit happened get over it . i WAS NOT ALLOWED IN HOTELS AND BEACHES IN THE 50'S IN Queerbec not dogs or jews allowed , do I play the victim ? Get over it Huggy you have done well , or so you say why is the past ruling your life now ?
Nah. My dad is still alive. Very much present. And he had to deal with a LOT more, living in Alabama, than not being allowed into hotels or beaches. So, I truly feel your pain.
Yep. Done damn fucking well, because my father made sure I DIDN'T fall for the false mythology and that I would be treated "equally."
THAT'S why I am financially set and successful. Because I didn't fall for your gaslighting of "shit happened," it is "the past" or "get over it."
Too many non-white kids think they will get the same treatment as their "white friends," which is why they get into trouble or think they can be equally mediocre.
See...that's your plan. That's your con. Have white people convince enough young POC that things are all cool now and that they will be treated equally, so they have a false sense of equality/safety and don't stay vigilant around white folks.
So, that's why I'm successful, because I've NEVER stopped "living in the past" or forgetting the foundational DNA of America.
So that will be what "has ruled my life" when I'm sitting on the beach in Costa Rica in 7 years at the age of 58.
Go try your nonsense/dirty scam with someone else.
The reality is that it was an issue, and a lot "folks" had serious issues with it. Some people fought some difficult, deadly battles to right that wrong. Was that fight in vain? Are the sins of the past so irredeemable that nothing can be done? You don't answer, except to say it should never have been a problem. Why not a simple yes or no? Was Brown v Board of Education wrong?
Yep. But it shouldn't have been. Yes, people did fight difficult, deadly battles. They were "woke liberal progressives."
Everyone was fine with segregation, etc. for 99% percent of American history, so now if non-white people want their own spot, own graduation dinners, etc. what's eveyone complaining about?
Mind your business and leave the colored folks alone if they don't want to you around. There's my answer.
Brown v. Board - it depends. Separate but equal would have been fine, if the "equal" part could have been guaranteed....but we know that was never going to happen, right? Just like school vouchers are not going to be equal either, although they claim they will be.
So, since the "equal" part was never going to be lived up to, Brown v. Board was rightly decided.
I dislike them because the floor is not simply "wet"; it frequently features a puddle of someone else's urine. As a woman, I have to lower my pants to pee in a way that makes it all too likely part of my pants will end up touching and soaking up some of that urine. And I have to clean someone else's urine off the toilet seat before I can even sit down (also a problem in women's bathrooms, but not nearly to the extent as in unisex toilets). It's gross and humiliating and it makes me feel as if the man who left the mess for me to deal with is probably getting off on the thought of some female stranger being forced to mop up his carelessly sprayed-around bodily fluids like a servant.

Hey, maybe shouldn't have started that way.

Special privileges such as?
Black only dorms?

Is that the best start of a lie you can come up with?
You wanted an example. I gave it. You deflected.
That's not an example. That is people chosing freedom of association. Sorry.
Yep for 99% of America's existence it supported a racial caste system, regional apartheid and only granted full citizenship to African-Americans in 1965.
Fact.
Was Brown v Board of Education a mistake? Should Plessy v Ferguson have stood?
Should have never had to be issues in front of the Supreme Court to begin with.

Males using female restrooms..
Hmmm....didn't know that was a big thing.
What about the concept of unisex bathrooms?
As a man, not a fan. Most don't have urinals.
a sink works
I dislike unisex bathrooms because
1. The floor is always wet.
2. The seat is is lifted , also wet, and not returned to the seated position.
I dislike them because the floor is not simply "wet"; it frequently features a puddle of someone else's urine. The classic, time-honored battle.
You asked. I answered. You diverted.
Good day.
There is never any point in engaging with this guy--he's 100% troll.
And a very dumb troll at that.
Yes.
That is all he e et does. His programmers is not sophisticated to engage.
Lol. No. Not diverted. It's not a major issue, if that wasn't clear to you.
Just asking your thoughts on unisex. That's all.
Yes, diverted. I answered.
Good day.
Nope. It's a moral panic. I answered.
Good day.
Ask a woman.
Why not ask a man. Are they not allowed to have an opinion on unisex bathrooms?
Ok, ask a man with a daughter, a wife or a mother.
bend over Iĺl give you an answer Huggy
Wow. A joke about sexual assault.
take it like a snowflake . Never been in prison ?
Nope. Never been in prison.
Keep going....
