My dream is some application that sends it to my printer every morning and prints it out. Maybe I could select the categories of articles that I want, or specific authors, and then each morning or maybe a couple times a week, I just go to my home printer and grab out my copy of The Free Press.
Here's the one extremely important story not covered.
The United Banana Republic States of America:
In 2019 the Democrat Party Junta, a gang of thugs, brought forth a physically & mentally deficient candidate, Joe Biden, as President. They "hid" him in his basement, taking advantage of a lethal pandemic. This resulted in a large percentage of the populace foolishly voting him into office. For four years this Cabal repeatedly lied to the American people. It was obvious to anyone with an ounce of intelligence that Biden was Non Compos Mentis. We were constantly reassured that Biden was "Sharp as a tack"! Biden's inner circle, members of his administration, the media (CNN, MSNBC, NPR, CBS, ABC, The Washington Post and the New York Times) & Biden's wife deliberately LIED. What they conspired to do was place our Republic in great danger. It was Orwellian, totalitarian, disgraceful & perhaps felonious. The media talking heads are compounding their deceit by publishing books in an attempt to rid themselves of guilt or most likely for financial gain. It's hypocrisy to the max. Every member of the media listed above deserves to be awarded the Goebbels Prize in Journalistic Propaganda. A pox on ALL of THEM! For BCAL Schumer, Pelosi, Sanders, Obuma, Warren, Blinken, Garland, Sullivan, Bernstein, Kerry, Mayorkas, Psaki, Rice & too many others may history & the American people judge you harshly & with the scorn you justly deserve!
Not so. Just don’t like biased reporting no matter what type. Free Press advertised it was non-biased, so I am calling it out. If it now wants to be biased because of its owners positions, that is fine, just not “free” or unbiased. What I am is my business and can be allowed in commenting, as I understand this paper’s position. It’s a shame so much hatred has driven this paper toward a biased position. I had hoped for better journalism, at least two-sided bias.
It is non-biased in the sense that they present stories from both sides — only paper to do so. If you don’t like hearing some pieces from a more pro-Israel perspective or about the very real physical violence that’s happening against Jews in the world, then that already tells me enough about your views…
My views are not important. And you are wrong to make assumptions. Too many stories and writers with one point of view creates bias. That is the point here.
No one else cares about us, outside of Tablet and a couple of other outlets. In fact, most MSM has a pretty obvious anti-Israel and anti-Jew bias, looking at you NYT, so I say, bring it on, Bari and thank you.
The 747 was given to the US, not Trump. He can use it while he’s president. Air force One is over 40 years old and Boeing won’t have new one for 2 years. Maybe if press reported things accurately we could focus on more important things like world peace.
Senator Markwayne Mullen (Okla.): "What no-one is talking about is this same 747 has been in negotiations for a year. The Biden administration is the one that started these conversations. It didn't start underneath the Trump administration - why? Because we need a back-up for Air Force One."
A shame this very important part of the story was not included by the FP.
I thought all these stories were so well written and informative. The buying of America by Quattar was outstanding. That story was so well written and well researched. It should win an award and should be read by all.
So disappointed but not surprised. This week stood out for the paradigm shifting position against interventionism spoken by an American president. A speech for the ages and not surprising that it gets little press from FP. No mention of the wonderful piece by Batya Ungar-Sargon. Should be a weekly pick. Should be a 2025 pick. Thank you Batya! You deserve greater respect than you receive from this "trade rag".
Please spare us any more of Tyler Cowen! Every time that I try to wade through one of his musings, I end up wishing that I'd spent my time watching a rerun of "The Beverly Hillbillies" or "Green Acres" instead! I started subscribing back when TFP was Common Sense, but I'm starting to rethink my subscription if we're going to be treated to more tripe from the likes of Mr. Cowen!
I have a suggestion that would give all of us a break from TFP's TDS. How about some Common Sense followup stories. I would love to know how the woman who was run out of town by the birdwatcher is doing. I'm sure you could do a great piece on her without revealing her identity. There were a number of academics who were forced out and booted from lecture circuits during the height of the pandemic. I am really tiring of the chicken little gaslighting we're all being subjected to after four years of a shadow government.
On the subject of current topics, how about covering the failing of Michelle Obama's podcast. This is actually an interesting rise and fall tale of a woman who at one time was considered a possible presidential nominee and is now a world class kvetch.
I do not believe thinking and informed people would call the jumbo jet Trump’s “personal plane.”
But Bari does.
Also, the Qatar money is said to be “without parallel” in one paragraph yet a few sentences later we learn it is two thirds of what China has given. Hyperbole, I guess.
Bari, don't be so impressed by Tablet Magazine. They are now charging an astounding $250/year which has priced me out. I appreciate their journalism but it's a crazy amount of money to expect people to pay when the average is $50-$60/year. Some of us aren't in the 10%.
At our neighborhood garage sale I simply gave away all my crap for free... that way I didn't have to carry it back in the house. I think Qatar did the same thing. This may be a albatross/white elephant.

This is actually great for my plan to make all of the Interference Class non-producers pick crops and drive tractors. If they all move to the countryside we just need to tell them that their work-from-home Human Resources job has been eliminated and hand them a shovel.
They should start that shoveling in the barn. At least they've had the figurative training for shoveling that kind of material from their Instagram-from-home jobs.

I would love a print version of The Free Press.

I wasn’t able to listen to the Haviv Rettig Gur livestream. Is there a way to find and listen to a recorded version?

Great post Doc!
Too much on Jewish stories and point of view, sorry Bari. No different from liberal or conservative bias. Please stop it.
And who else is covering from the same angle? Sounds like you have some internalized antisemitism to deal with

I'd like to know why I can't comment On How Quatar bought America when I've been a member for over a year.
Think they turned off posting for the members. Perhaps they were nervous of our reaction on the Quatar plane.
At the top of the comments, is an easy to miss blurb that says, "Commenting has been turned off for this post"
I'm not sure, but I think they turn off commenting if the comments get overly contentious. But if you learn of another reason, please do share!
Thanks,I'll check it out.

Also...this just in...the discussions about the loan of the 747 began a year ago with the Biden administration.
what's the source of this info?

I agree Batya is terrific.

The New Yorker costs more and they won a bunch of Pulitzers for pro-Hamas (ok, I'm mildly hysterical) coverage of the war in Gaza...
I don't read that either and good point that regardless of cost Tablet won't praise hamas
The air craft gift is nothing but a gesture ...
