Well the good news is that no one who listens to this will mistake Helen Lewis for being a guru on anything.

Yeah, she seems to be a stereotypical so-called smart person (or тАШintellectualтАЩ, as they humbly call themselves) that knows so much less than they think they do. She had so many factual things wrong it i almost didnтАЩt get through it all. Hope Bari has Bret Weinstein on to counter LewisтАЩ inaccurate claims about him

I thought the same thing...I honestly thought this was from 2021 given her perspective. I'm no aluminum hat wearing vaccine microchip believer but I'm also not ignorant to the fact that perfectly healthy people not at risk for COVID were injured by vaccines-which I was skeptical about until it happened to someone I knew.

That was my experience too. The first 20 minutes I am following along and then when they start talking about Covid and the intellectual dark web (esp. Weinstein), the wheels fall off the wagon. I had to stop it, but eventually finished it a few hours later. By the end I found out that she was the journalist who wrote that amazing Atlantic piece about the Guggenheim (highly recommended). I am not with Lewis on her Covid takes, but she has been a voice of reason on other subjects.

The funny thing is that she said essentially this about Jordan Peterson, and I agree with her about Peterson.

She apparently thinks that all inconsistent public pronouncements related to COVID are related to well-intentioned authorities doing the best they can with evolving information...? The level of ignorance that implies is irresponsible, regardless of one's underlying political values.

Exactly. And Bari has had Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, who was silenced by Fauci, on her podcast. So I was hoping for at least a little pushback against this
