Approximately 38% to 53% of American adults do not own stocks, depending on whether the data includes indirect ownership (like 401(k)s) or defines ownership at the household level.
Investments are one thing and many Americans have at least some stake in the stock market. Much of it is illiquid though, stuck in a 401k that cannot be accessed penalty-free until age 59.5.
Incomes are stagnant for many, and prices are high, making the monthly net cash flow look worse. Add to that high interest rates, and very high housing costs, and the vibes are not good.
53% of private sector workers participate in employer sponsored retirement plans, and 81% of civil service workers do. But that’s not really my point, my point is if the economy is tanking, why is the stock market soaring? There’s a disconnect.
How do we fix our institutions? We can’t b/c human nature will always be self-serving, which is why the first instincts of our founding fathers was to shy away from creating a larger central government in Washington, far away from the eyes of the people.
So, what do we do? How about we ask what the function of a federal government is – to protect the people, not take care of them. Leave that to the states to decide.
So, why not get rid of all the agencies and departments, surgically, and eliminate those federal agencies that take care of the people:
Sorry but Comey, the former director of the FBI. knew what he was doing when he posted that picture. He was threatening the President of the US. Please don't listen to the drivel of what "86" meant a century ago. Should the man be prosecuted for the picture is an entirely different issue. Is it going to backfire on the DOJ? Will it be seen as petty? Freedom of speech is freedom of speech. Is Comey some kind of hero on the Left now? Yes, but not because he is being prosecuted, he is a hero because he called for murdering a sitting POTUS because they don't like him. The problem in today's world isn't the speech so much as the fact that so many in the democratic party applaud wanting to kill Trump. This is the sickness, the democratic-Left's belief in political violence and the embracing of those who commit the violence, not the speech.
Here's to hoping that the other oil producing nations that were attacked by Iran, leave OPEC. if OPEC were smart they would boot Iran. But intelligence doesn't seem to be in OPEC's bylaws.

Was wondering if TFP would mention Chancellor Freidrich Merz opining that the US is being humiliated by Iran. So interesting a German Chancellor would use the word humiliate in light of one of his predecessors utilizing that concept almost 100 years ago. Perhaps we now should refer to the German leader as Herr Fred Mertz.
Is Eli Lake’s argument really that because Coney is still adored by the Left and TDS sufferers , Trump should not make it clear to the country exactly what Comey did ? He was the FBI Director !!

Publicize the hell out of all comey did and is but let some one else do it. Get a movie made to expose the DC rot. There was some momentum growing after the weekend and the America haters could be seen in living color. We need discipline and focus now not tantrums via the legal system . That's what the other side has done for over a decade. The point can be made without using and yes abusing the legal system like the left does. This is about winning in 26&28 not retribution and revenge ( which most voters do not like)
