"'You sit down to dinner and life as you know it ends.' ...Now, when I sit down to dinner each night, I know that the meal doesn’t always conclude with a slice of chocolate cake. And every time it does, it’s a miracle."
Beautifully well said.
My $.02:
I'm particularly thankful to those who alleviate pain, and those who make us laugh. So a huge thank you to the developers of anesthesia and Novocain, who allow me (and millions of others) to now go to the dentist and surgeon with minimal trauma, and to the comedians (professional and otherwise) who make us laugh - especially at ourselves.
I am grateful for the discipline of history because it teaches me that every tumultuous time eventually passes, and things settle down for a short while. The trick is to make it to the other end of that rough spot alive and more or less well, together with everybody else whom I love and respect. May our country survive this crisis and get stronger through this trial of our character and strength. Amen.
An absolutely fantastic feature, this. It reinforces (for me at least) how we as readers feel connected to this publication, this “movement” in someone’s words. Cheers to the Free Press and its readers.
I'm most grateful to the voters of America that Kamala Harris LOST the election last November. God bless President Trump with good health for next 1,105 days of his presidency.
Very nice. Gratitude is a powerful medicine. Thank you to The Free Press and the balance you bring to the world of journalism. Please don’t change a thing.
I'm grateful for the fact that insane clown world writer River Page has been fired by TFP. You know for that ridiculous piece asserting that the Chiles case challenging Colorado's "conversion therapy" ban statute is anti-gay.
Great decision Bari Weiss! I knew you had it in you!
I'm deeply thankful for an expanding Free Press, and for the sanity it brings to the media landscape. It's a welcome respite to the outrage machine of legacy media and cable news. Thank you for your thoughtful coverage, and reminding us that this country is truly full of good people.
And please, more contributions from Larissa Phillips.
I’m thankful to read of the glorious things you delightful people are thankful for. Grateful people are the best!! Of course thankful for TFP but especially the interviews. Keep up the very good work.
This was such a wonderful romp through the minds of your exceptional, talented, and genuinely "human" staff! Each entry was so different, showing-rather-than-telling us that your platform takes diversity of thought seriously. Each staffer approached the assignment from such a different attitude, style, and vantage point, but each one was heartfelt, thought-provoking, and an irreplaceable jigsaw piece in the "whole" that has become "The Free Press." I am grateful for all of you!
Love this! Love seeing such a large staff! Was already feeling grateful this season, but now my cup truly overflows. I absolutely believe you guys are the changing the (news media) world. Keep up the great work!
Did anyone mention "our paid subscribers?"
I wasn't going to read this, but I'm so glad I did. Rick Brooks' contribution, my goodness, how could so few words make me feel so much?

What about the interns?
"for the small eternities those games have given me with them"
Yes!!
Connections in Time with Loved ones.
What more?
Nature.
Beauty and Love.
Thankful to clearly perceive the Creator! A gift in every second of breath!

I'd upvote the comment, bu't cannot because Trump. Just being "Not Kamala" doesn't equal being an acceptable leader.
But, yes, Kamala is a vacuous moron.
This was the BEST read.

Oh, wait, .....
Sadly. Little River is still employed. Damn.
