Why do you continue to link to stories (Bloomberg/AirPods) that either require payment or mandate agreement to their “privacy” policy…which provides your personal info is anything but private.

It’s interesting and farcical that folks are trying to frame Iran as a strategic defeat that somehow exposes the weakness of America’s military power when it’s actually the opposite. The US used amazing restraint in the use of power for strategic victories increasing the pressure along the way. We live in an era theater requires you fight wars with some humanity to limit civilian deaths. Would those making those claims prefer we just drop a couple of nuclear weapons on Iran just for the sake of them raising a white flag?

An MOU nobody has read but everybody has their panties in a wad over.

$300 billion given by whom?

Are we going to prohibit any country from investing in any other country?

If so, for how long?

Maybe folks just maybe wait 48 hours and read the MOU before we wave a white flag and declare defeat.

BUT when you read it, read ALL OF IT not just the parts you dislike.

THE ONE'S.... JCPOA was 159 pages.

Lots of goodies are hidden in a POA of that length

I'm willing to bet this MOU is not but a small fraction that long.

Any takers ?

Just out of curiosity, does it really matter who is going to give them 1/3rd of a Trillion dollars? Sort of a rhetorical question.

Here is what the NY Post dropped yesterday on the MOU, but no doubt we'll have to see the details if anyone actually believes they will honestly show them to us. Anywho.....let me know where you see the big wins for the US and Joe & Sue taxpayer in any of this, as I'm not seeing much. Then again, I'm just a dumb contractor in North Carolina so I'm probably not reading the tea leaves correctly. I was reading the same tea leaves when we ventured into Iraq and look how well that has all worked out for us.....there's a 7-11 on every corner and luxurious casino resorts all around Lake Tharthar. It's paradise!

https://nypost.com/2026/06/16/us-news/details-of-us-iran-deal-revealed-timeline-for-us-withdrawal-300b-fund-hormuz-passage/

And the part that is missing in all of this discussion is that Netanyahu and Itamar Ben Gvir stated they would not abide by the US ceasefire agreement, so none of this really matters in the long run. Right?

Lanny's avatar

"...does it really matter who is going to give them 1/3rd of a Trillion dollars? "

Whether it comes out of my pocket or some other guys pocket.

Yeah, I care.

You honestly believe it’s not coming out of your pocket? I’ve got some real estate down here I’d like to show you.

Lanny's avatar

OK explain it to me real slowly in terms that even a "dumb" retired Colonel in TX can understand.

How is it coming out of my pocket?

Evans W's avatar

I’d love to do the Facebook back-and-forth all day today but I’ve gotta work. That said if you wanted an example, the Bush administration stated that Middle East countries would participate financially in rebuilding Iraq after our invasion. When it was clear that that wasn’t going to happen they then pivoted to Iraq Oil sales would pay for it. Neither of those things actually happened. We footed the entire bill.

Lanny's avatar

I note that when you are losing an argument you do two things.

1. You have got to go because you have work to do.

2. Change the subject and refuse to answer the question.

If you are really that busy perhaps go to work rather than exchanging ideas.

Richard Taylor, II's avatar

Thank you Lord Jesus! The speculation is absurd. Let's not panic and get caught up in hyperbole on a deal that has yet to be published.

Lanny's avatar

What is wrong with us as a people? If we don't know who the killer in a detective show is by the commercial break you'd think our civil rights were being trampled.

EKB ✡️ 🕎 🇺🇸's avatar

So the Scots drank Boston out of beer? In the videos they were quite an enthusiastic lot.

I am so disgusted by this MOU which apparently no one in Trump world thinks the people of the US have a right to see. But JD is happily going around telling us all what to think about it (and no we don't have to pass it to find out what is in it). JD told that Eva Braun wanna-be Megyn Kelly that the Tuckerite-Nazis, we thought who had been thrown out of the GOP, are part of the Trump coalition. And apparently, according to Trump, Israel is supposed to allocate its security at its northern border to the Al Qaeda ISIS genocidal mass murderer who now governs Syria. Because nothing says someone is a Jeffersonian Democrat who protects minorities and especially Jews like someone from ISIS. This is a lesson in how to snatch total capitulation from the jaws of victory. Trump has now put a target on the back of every American. Happy 250th effing Birthday America.

Richard Taylor, II's avatar

Wow. I think you blew a gasket.

EKB ✡️ 🕎 🇺🇸's avatar

Nope, just honest about what is happening and not allowing myself to be gaslit into thinking that this MOU is good for the US. You can ignore what is happening. That is on you.

I support women voting despite Wilson’s support. You rarely are in the wrong being opposed to Wilson.

Not sure what to think of the TX situation. Paxton has more than enough to eliminate him from consideration. Maybe the LP guy is okay, but I don’t know that there’d be enough there to motivate a vote for.

But, bless your hearts; send Kier Stormer to the Senate.

Lanny's avatar

Paxton would not have been my first or my thirty-first choice.

BUT since many of "our neighbors with a uterus" who got the vote will be voting for Talarico, I think I'll go with Paxton.

KARYN TRUITT's avatar

Talarico is a disaster waiting to happen

Lanny's avatar

And yet he'll get nearly 50% of the vote.

Demand for Racism exceeds Supply of Racism.

When that happens, this is what you get...

"...indictment filed by the Department of Justice against the SPLC accusing the nonprofit of redirecting donor money to the alleged hate groups they purported to be fighting."

Steve G's avatar

Don’t be so hard on the SPLC. The grift has worked for years. They’re like the gambler who just needs one good score to balance out.

Lanny's avatar

I gotta admit they have had a good run.

Steve G's avatar

Personally it’s refreshing for them to be exposed. For years many have known they were smug, self righteous grifters.

Clarity Seeker's avatar

Trump kept his word. A few months bsck he said Help is on the Way. WSJ says Iran can resume selling oil. Lets call.it the Trump Marshall Plan.

Trump also said he has it on good authority that Iran no longer wants nuclear weapons.

Aside from my sarcasm did I mistakenly report any facts

Much of my info comes from Erick Erickson . Suggest you all check him out. He voted for the president and supports most of his policies as do I. And he tells it like it is even though it angers some of his listeners.

Lanny's avatar

As we have discussed before...

I care very little about what Trump or any other politician says.

I care very deeply about what they do.

Trump is hitting 750.

If I got a hit three out of every four times at bat I'd own TFP and heck since they piss me off regularly the NYT.

Clarity Seeker's avatar

Yes sir. But what if your last AB is a strike out bottom ninth bases loaded? We all just need to honestly call balls and strikes as i think you and I do ( or at least i try to).

Lanny's avatar

With 162 games in a season...

I pick myself up.

I dust myself off.

And I focus on the next game.

My guess is that if I'm hitting 750 I'm not going to get traded.

"...with the backdrop of an economy that makes having children feel out of reach to many."

by

Brad Wilcox.

What a loaded and frankly idiotic statement.

Love TFP but good grief somebody needs to be the editor.

Wendy H's avatar

"Feelings" make me a bit skeptical. Just whose "feelings" are they monitoring. and compared to what? When did anyone 'feel' they could afford children? It's always been a concern. . .

Lanny's avatar

One of the highest birthrates in the world is in Gaza where poverty, war, and a brutal government rules.

As a side note... if the Israelis are conductiong genocide in Gaza they have got to be the most incompetent exterminators in history.

AI "Births in the U.S. are increasingly driven by minority populations and older mothers. While non-Hispanic White women account for roughly half of all births, minority groups (including Hispanic, Black, and Asian mothers) now collectively make up the majority of births, often starting families earlier and having more." How do these people 'feel'?

Lanny's avatar

Thank you!

Wilcox is an idiot pushing an agenda.

PJ's avatar

“…in a country where wealth inequality has become a major political concern”…Really? I guess I’m thinking it’s a major concern among a certain political group… I’m far from the 2%, but certainly not concerned about that specifically. So many other concerns like the fact women and men can now, apparently, use each other’s bathrooms in select states or a terror plot included a participant who is angry over the Epstein files. Seriously? That’s worth putting at risk lives of people who have no involvement? Also….please, no more links that are for WSJ subscribers only.

'Thwarted Plot to Attack White House Fight Involved Drones and Snipers, Officials Say'

This alleged plot consisted of a plan to have $40 dollar drones that were armed with Walmart firecrackers aimed at attacking buildings around the White House. Once people began to panic, there would be well placed snipers attacking people with sling shots & potato cannons as they were trying to leave. Fortunately the mom of one of the retarded conspirators phoned the FBI after overhearing him complaining about not being invited to go to Epstein island with Clinton & Gates. Follow-up news stated that the 'Officials' who leaked this story to the media were the same ones that brought us the Governor Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping case. GTFOH. https://x.com/theseed59788459/status/2066934132484288831?s=20

Deb Hill's avatar

I wonder what the ratio was between FBI informants and plotters?

Evans W's avatar

Well lets see here.

Tycen Proper, 19 – Ohio

Bryan Omar Roa, 24 – California

Michael Alan Thomas, 32 – California

Daniel Eskridge, 32 – Missouri

Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, 31 – Nebraska

So it looks like 3 Caucasian retards, and 2 hispanic retards. With that knowledge I'd put the ratio at about 125 feds.

BTW......when I was 19, I was also hanging out with thirty something guys from all over the country. Seems legit.

Interestingly, by now there would be a lot of comments, which I enjoy reading. But today there are only 2. That should tell us something. Maybe news overload? Maybe completely uninteresting? Or, even maybe the fact that, and I am one of them, is tired of reading about reality clashing with fantasy. In other words, how Trump sees himself and his distorted vision of world events and what we observe.

"In other words, how Trump sees himself and his distorted vision of world events and what we observe."

Couldn't care less how Trump sees himself.

Care deeply that we finally have a President with the cojones to make decisions reality based Presidents didn't have the courage to make.

Lanny, I read your comment and rose to my feet and tipped my hat to you.
