Huh. It seems that, apart from darling Batya Ungar-Sargon's piece on Trump's Middle-east travels, TFP has nothing else to say. The idea that the region may be interested in profit over murder is a boring story. I cannot tell you how, as a human being in this time, this enrages me. Eh -- seething beats serene every time, I guess..

Dealing with DOGE: “That was very frustrating. They are not patient with the way that the government normally works.”

No kidding. I don't think any of us are. We have to deal with a legacy government the nuts and bolts of which were designed 250 years ago. To save our republic we are going to have to upgrade the way our government works to be more responsive. Things happen a lot faster in the 21st century than in the 18th. DOGE is a good start.

Hey FP can you make a new column where your team tracks everything the trump admin is doing? Would be fun to see it simplified to one line and then pro/con list attached to each action. Would maybe make your MAGA subscribers happier. I'm not gonna lie I have to go to morning wire to get positive trump news but i love FP and want to see more praise for his admin's work here. Don't get me wrong, I love the criticism too. Just been seeing a lot of unhappy people in the comments lately

So the Republicans finally have a mega rich patron & what happens. Dems terrorize Tesla dealerships & Tesla drivers on the road. Does the media or Democrats criticize any of this? No, they only criticize Musk and DOGE. As 38 year retired Federal employee, I could write a book on waste.

So the Democrats will continue to have the Soros family funding the most nefarious policies in US history with zero pushback from anyone.

Unfortunately I guess the Democratic response of terrorizing Musk works.

Just a random thought related to Musk's exit from political spending. I sense some bitterness and that seems to be confirmed by what appears to be a substantial change the X algos. At least, it does in my X feed. Suddenly I am getting way more left-leaning comments from accounts I don't even follow. Anyone else see a recent change in their X feed?

Regarding that 60 Minutes thing (which I also bring up here since comments have been turned off in the original piece) -- there were pieces I'd seen and heard of the "uncut footage" that I did not see or hear in the FP video. Why was that? The piece was presented to us as a "here's the whole thing, you make up your mind" -- but it wasn't. In fact it was just a TFP edited piece.

For example, where was this piece of footage discussing the border: "HARRIS: There are a variety of factors that relate to what we have seen globally and what we are not immune from at our own border, in terms of what we have seen in terms of surge of immigration and irregular migration. And there are solutions at hand, but we’ve got to have leaders who are solution oriented, which we’ve been and are and I am going forward. Instead of leaders who want to make it a problem they can run on."

I didn't see that in the FP piece. If you're going to ostensibly lay out the whole thing for us -- how about lay out the WHOLE thing? Otherwise, you're just MSM. Sad.

"In a 7–2 decision, the Court ruled Libby’s right to relief was “indisputably clear.”

It's scary to think that both Sontomayor and Jackson both voted against giving Libby the right to express her opinion.

Have these two ever not voted in lockstep with the far left? From what I can tell, they are 100% rubber stamps for far-left progressives.

The idea that the Supreme Court is supreme in their assessments is overridden by how many 5/4 decisions we’ve had over the years. Legal minds are often at a crossroads on many controversial issues and they bring their biases to every case because they are human and blind to other points of view — especially if they were a DEI choice.

Highly recommend watching Tim Dillon’s (comedian) hour long interview with CNN. Truly hilarious and shows how out of touch the interviewer/CNN: https://youtu.be/-OwDAxrAL0I?feature=shared

Elle Reeve, the interviewer, seems to be experiencing a crisis over the existence of comedians who aren't consistently left-leaning. Poor woman. She is shocked to discover that there is life beyond the liberal CNN bubble.

Bill Raetz's avatar

Oh my God they actually released it. This is the smartest thing CNN has done in a long, long time. Dillon was on Rogan a few days (weeks?) ago and he mentioned that they should release the whole interview because ultimately they would get views (and therefore exposure and money) out of it, and he couldn't be more right.

She was insufferable, some kind of doughy, endomorph enforcer. A guy saying that he sees every flag but an American one in certain parts of New York-- which happens to be true-- was uttering the unsayable, some sort of impermissible crime to be pro American. Columbia is full of Palestinian flags. What do they do with the American flag? They burn it. I'm surprised Tim Dillon didn't give more direct answers. Late night is stultifyingly left. But that's not enough. She obviously had it in for Rogan. Dillon should have said talk to Joe Rogan and left. Eww, I'm trying to shake it off. She was like some kind of Dr. Seuss creation.

You have to wonder just how much can be left in GAZA to bomb. And I also wonder just how much debt the United States can actually bear over the next decade. Will we eventually run out of printing ink? And I wonder how peace can ever be achieved while Russia demand more of Ukraine than they occupy and Ukraine wants more territory back they can never win. And I mostly wonder how the mind of a left wing liberal is wired to embrace ideals that simply defy common sense.

From TFP news, "International pressure is mounting on Israel as its renewed ground offensive in Gaza leaves hundreds dead and aid remains largely blocked. Leaders from the UK, France, and Canada warned of potential sanctions if the offensive continues".................I can't remember if the UK, and France ever thanked America for its service, back when. They sure never act like it. But I have to admit "International pressure...mounting on Israel" is the perfect imagery.

My patience with TFP is wearing very thin. These bozos do not know who their audience is as they cannot find a positive thing to say about Elon Musk. Besides a one-off comment about him rescuing the three astronauts, they snow ay he's building a "spaceship in a cow pasture."

I just may go back to the WSJ...at least I can paper my bird cage or wrap a dead fish in it.

I'm fine expanding my views and don't need a lecture. TFP seldom writes anything positive about Trump/Musk and all the good they're doing.....deporting some of the worst scum to walk the earth, trying to eliminate taxes on SS, which we've already paid taxes on, leveling the global trade playing field. Those issues alone Make America Great Again, but instead they trash everything Trump.

Expand that, pal.

Clarity Seeker's avatar

Yes sir. All of these subissues beg for facts about what a law or proposed law actually provides or would provide. And stats supporting the allegations. Example: exactly what Medicaid coverage is being challenged? Would all recipients coverage be reduced or would there be very specific targets for elimination or reduction? And there are scores of other examples every day.
