Re: Kat's piece on Weinstein is yet another article from someone who calls herself a journalist while living in her Woke Bubble, incapable of contextualizing. Reading this , she fails to mention ANY sexual misconduct by Democratic Presidents- Biden, Clinton, Obama( where's that story about the chef found dead in Obama's Martha Vineyard mansion) Look away- nothing to see here when it's a Lib.
Kinda like " If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a noise?"
When the Left continues to shill for their home team and SENSATIONALIZE every thing they can sink their teeth into and know away at, it's time they just go away. No Substance. No Truth. No Concept of Reality.
"“I’ll be an eight-year president,' said Donald Trump".
But the Trump-haters will go on hating and posting. They have to: he has controlled and defined their lives for the last ten years and they'll have to, to continue to exist.
The oath of office of the president of the United States is the oath or affirmation that the president of the United States takes upon assuming office. The wording of the oath is specified in Article II, Section One, Clause 8, of the United States Constitution, and a new president is required to take it before exercising or carrying out any official powers or duties.
This clause is one of three oath or affirmation clauses in the Constitution, but it is the only one that actually specifies the words that must be spoken. Article I, Section 3 requires Senators, when sitting to try impeachments, to be "on Oath or Affirmation." Article VI, Clause 3, similarly requires the persons specified therein to "be bound by oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution." The presidential oath requires much more than that general oath of allegiance and fidelity. This clause enjoins the new president to swear or affirm: "I will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."[1]
I was waiting to comment on 60 minutes. They recently interviewed Marc Elias, who STILL holds Russia stole 2016 election from Hillary. Scott Pelly did not mention who paid for "Russia stole election campaign..." Hillary. These people... dictionary definition of communist propaganda.
BTW, did anyone notice the front page WSJ photo marking the 50th anniversary of the American involvement in Vietnam? Pretty girls with makeup, weapons and uniforms. Tunnel rats, i suppose.
Only to Joe Nocera and mates could Buffett’s announcement be a “bombshell.” A successor was chosen several years ago. Buffett is soon to be 95 and his longtime partner died two years ago at 99. What exactly did JN and his ilk think was going to happen? A disorderly succession?
Let me start with I have no respect for what you Joe Nocera says about anything. We have complicated the hell out of investing just like everything else. It’s really not that hard . #1. Always have cash on hand ; build an emergency fund first. 2. In your younger years go all in with stock mutual funds. You should be too busy making money at your job to worry about individual stocks. Keep adding to the mutual funds via automatic withdrawals from your check . Don’t touch the money . 3. When you are close to retirement make sure you start putting a higher percentage in cash . 4. When you retire start picking your own stocks to establish a dividend paying portfolio. It’s fun. Supplement that with great growth stocks . Like the best company in the world Amazon. Maybe take a flier on a couple of small caps like ARQT or VKT. Keep a lot of cash on hand for peace of mind . Warren has always had lots and lots of cash . I have 40% in cash . Enjoy!
Great points on the investing side and regarding cash. My husband and I were recently talking about this and the debt we see many of our friends in. We are very comfortable financially, but we still live like we did when we were in our early 30's and we pay off our credit card monthly. It's just plain common sense.
Can’t say I find either Warren Buffet or Harvey Weinstein important enough to headline a Monday news roundup. What about the attack on Ben Gurion airport or Barstool Sports? Or the ABC and NBC interviews on he 1st 100 days? And so on. The only advantage I see to this new format is you can hide the unpopular opinions behind anonymous bylines.
Houthis bomb Ben Gurion airport, but MSM is silent. Sen Fetterman says that we need to rid ourselves of Iran’s nuclear capabilities, and the left goes bonkers. Where is TFP on all of these types of stories?
I like the new “Just the facts, Mam” portion of TFP.
Read Lionel Shriver's scathing article on "The trans nonsense must stop" in the Spectator.

Way less snark and more balanced these past several editions. Much better!!

This is the kind of unbiased reporting I signed up for when Bari started Common Sense. Bravo!
The "news" media and the groups handing out the awards are nothing but a lefty mutual masturbation society...

Hmm...I wonder if the bill is online for viewing. Do you think?
Oh. So there is no bill that's up for a vote that says exactly what the article describes? Is that what you're saying?
Yes or No?

Good point.

Thank you MMP . Great job!
Kip, you are 100% on point. Not too difficult but emotion, lack of discipline, 'living for today mindset,' get in the way for most.
Indeed. Thank you Frank.
While I agree that Weinstein may have been railroaded, it's hard for me to stomach Candace Owens.

But I hope Trump keeps selling "Trump 2028" hats.
It's fun watching heads explode.
