I loved the Taylor Swift - Kelce take. While having lunch with a good friend of mine he described Taylor as “adorable” . We both then agreed to enjoy the whole thing and we have. . The right thing for men of our age to do . We are both in our mid sixties.

Why should a social media tycoon be held responsible for the trauma your kid is undergoing at the hands of a bullying classmate on an iPhone? Parents are responsible and should be held responsible. Zuckerberg had a chance to make that point and did not because he understands how politically incorrect that statement would be. He looked pathetic. I say to parents: do your job and, the minute your child starts looking worried or distracted -- take the phone away!

"One of the best things mental health experts could have done to improve the mental health of teens would not grant them an ongoing role in kids’ lives. Any parent can take away a cell phone. But only mental health experts can dispense “wellness tips,” diagnoses, psych meds, and therapy. They march into schools and lecture teens about the responsible uses of social media, which is a little like school nurses advising kids about the prudent uses of Ecstasy. "

Except part of the greater issue is how addicted some of the parents are to their own devices, and a lack of honesty about how convenient it is to let kids just have the device so the parents can be busy doing whatever else. Have had the conversation about just cutting out tv time (90 min) before bed to reduce a child's propensity toward anxious behavior and received no movement from the parents. We all justify the addiction, because no one wants to admit how much of you and your time it steals away from you.

I agree. As I've found with multiple conversations of this same sort, no one moves, especially those motivated by emotion. I wish I was-I voted for him despite misgivings, and Biden has been a disaster. That's why I said it was sad, I widow you all unfounded debunked conspiracy there's were true! that would be easy. Unfortunately I'm going by the facts, not APBnews type sources.

I do wish you the best however, you are a well meaning person

Didn't the American Psychological Association tell us that covering everyone's faces continuously for several years was a cool idea with zero downsides?

Everybody knows that the Trump administration accomplishments - which are very real - are due to the work of the people around him, who invariably were pushed aside, because they had a spine, totally unacceptable to Trump. Trump goes with whatever sells, he has no politics, no principles, no attention span and no interest beyond his persona. You know it, all his supporters know it, so drop the pretense.

Big thanks to TFP for covering all this nuttiness across our country's political spectrum. Wiseman's approach makes me chuckle when I would otherwise cry!

This may be off topic but I will give it a shot'

Two opposed ways to engage in deal making:

The Jimmy Carter way - lay all your cards on the table at outset so they know exactly where you stand. This way they can adjust appropriately to your bottom line. This more or less is the liberal tactic.

The other approach - Trump (Reagan) - Smile and praise, then viciously criticize, then joke, then posture. At this point the enemy (the other side) has no idea who you are, what you want, where you stand, where they stand. This is a stronger position to go into fight with. It is the opposite of "liberal". It is why Trump is thought a fool. "Hey! We have no idea where is coming from!" But why he is great negotiator.

But that's the point! Confuse the opposition. NEVER let on to them who you are or what you want, until you win.

We shall see. What we know for sure is that she's much more popular than Trump. So is her beau.

I stopped watching the NFL more than a decade ago.

I was not aware of this Taylor Swift phenomenon and the KC Chiefs.

But I do know that Bob Weir supports San Francisco, so as a loyal Dead Head, I’ll follow Bobby’s lead.

Oops I meant Swift endorsed Biden in 2020. Sorry

Hi 234 I’ve read that Swift endorsed Biden in 2016 so I guess we will see. I’m not in Swift's demographic but many of my songwriting favorites from Bruce Springsteen to Peter Gabriel are unabashed liberals. I don’t let that affect my enjoyment of their talents fyi
