In the latest edition of The Weekend Press: Two Drinks with Dasha Nekrasova. Suzy Weiss thinks body positivity is over, but Will Rahn says it should be repackaged for dudes. A customer-service comedy. And more!
Body positivity is one of the most detached from reality views advocated by postmodern social justice theory other than the trans issue. Look, if you want to get to 400 pounds and think you are beautiful, have at it. I’m just not getting on that boat with you….live your life and I’ll live mine
So many unhappy trolls in the comments section these days. It’s hard to take them seriously. I guess it means you’re doing something right TheFP - keep it up!
Probable lost cause, day 7 (yes, I missed a day yesterday, didn’t even have time to read Nellie): Today we’re being advertised to about Claude, another digital crutch via which we will slowly lose our humanity. If CBS/TFP is trying to make people like me flee the platform, they’re doing a good job of undermining the trust I had in them.
Unfortunately for them, other people like me - with wildly divergent views but interested in something different - are what helped build this publication from the ground up. I’m beginning to believe that $150 million was cheap, so far as the Machine is concerned, if the result will be the loss of a truly outside voice. Newly controlled opposition, anyone?
I hate the photo at the end of the woman with the hatchet and the turkey. I get it, it's supposed to be funny, but it is just part-and-parcel of TFP's mocking attitude toward animals. And I won't be reading anything by Larissa Philips, because I'm not interested in an ex-Brooklynite cosplaying as a rural farmer.
The subversive message is a feminist “Anything you can do …” with a dull hatchet and a knowing laugh. I don’t know what utensil my grandmother used, but it was one whack and serious business to kill a fowl, and they can in fact run around with their heads cut off; a semi-metaphor for trendsetting libs.
Time spent on today’s weekend wrap was time wasted. I held on through Two Drinks to see if the cost of four cocktails in New York would produce some nugget of interest, it didn’t. Then the whole thing ends with a trash list of what to do from Joe.
Skip the cranberry dressing recipe. If you’ve got ten minutes to kill this weekend Google: Rush Limbaugh true meaning of Thanksgiving. Watch what is still one of the segments of audio from his show.
"Greene typified one unfortunate element of the MAGA movement. Inexperienced and erratic, without a solid grounding in conservative principles, Greene was a self-proclaimed “America First” partisan with no history as a leader in her community. She eventually went off the rails, culminating in a lovefest with the harridans of The View in which she bizarrely blamed Speaker Mike Johnson for the government shutdown, and argued for extending Obamacare subsidies."
Sometimes good people do the right thing for good reason.....and just maybe sitting in committee meetings with dimwits like Jasmine Crockett, Maxine Waters, and AOC has worn her out. See Trey Gowdy.
I can think of far better and more productive ways to spend my time.
You believe everything you read? Just because some rag looking for readership & hits prints something to get attention you consider it the Gospel.
No history in her community? She owns a family construction business. That not good enough for the likes of you?She didn't blame Johnson for the shutdown....she blamed him for not requiring everyone to stay in Washington to continue working. And she showed moxie going on The View. She's not afraid of anyone.
You should wise up partner.....and do your homework first.
That last image of the woman with the turkey and hatchet... Fun image, for the record though, that's a roofing hatchet for putting on cedar shake shingles. Typically not very sharp and for sure not the greatest for lobbing off a turkey's head.

This is a link to the most important interview you will watch today hopefully.
The FP is commended for finding and putting this out to the world to see what is really happening.
I hope they hire this activist who is what the world needs: education of the reality.

Or maybe Common Sense has lost it way
Please, move along. There is nothing to see here.

Some of today's offerings are putting a mirror on our culture. Either the mirror needs Windex or our culture needs 409.
Oh God, lose the flashing billboard!
Few things more annoying.
Marjorie Taylor Greene announces resignation from Congress after President Trump withdraws endorsement

Well...Bye.
Gak, now we'll see a true lunatic in that seat, Laura Loomer.
Laura lives in FLA.
She can move to Ga in time. She's making noises, though I suspect just her usual shit stirring
And 2 days after her Congressional pension vests…why not Jan 1 instead of Jan 5?
There are many odd people in the House — MTG, AOC, Omar, Jazzy — the least offensive to most of us is MTG.
Why wouldn't she stick around a couple more days? Wouldn't you? She's earned every dime of it.
I suspect her people took a poll and told her Reelection Not Gonna Happen Lady!
