How about a supper club in London UK?
How about something in the Valley? LA is quite difficult to get in and out of on a weeknight.
Our friends would like to join us, if possible. They could be at a separate table, just the same restaurant. Is there any way to arrange that? We are in Center City Philadelphia. Thank you

"Our table was upstairs at the Union Oyster House, away from all the ruckus."
The key words here are "away from the ruckus." If we're to have an evening of engaged conversation, then we should be able to actually hear what the person opposite us (at a round 6-top) is saying, without having to crane our necks and put a hand up to our ear -- or lip read. This was impossible at our Atlanta restaurant.
What to do? A separate event room with just a couple of tables? Not all places have that. Doing the dinners on a Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday when things might not be so hectic and crowded? Yell, instead of using an inside voice? Suggestions?

This was an all-around great idea; kudos to you and the team for coming up with it - and executing it.
I had a very nice time at the Arlington, VA dinner. Even though we all came from different backgrounds, just the fact that we were FP subscribers was enough to get the ball rolling, and the conversation flowed very smoothly. We had no trouble delving into politics, and our "How did you find the FP?" stories. Though we spent even more time on non-political topics that you might expect at a dinner: work, family, vacations, weather, hobbies.
I really enjoyed meeting everyone, and hope to see them and other subscribers at future dinners. (So far, it looks like July 15 is free.)

I enjoyed the supper club. Nice group of people. One older woman talked about how, since she's read the NYTIMES since she was a kid, she's seen its descent into madness. She said that younger readers might not even realize it, having missed the Times' more balanced reporting once upon a time.
She had voted Democrat but no more; same here. We also discussed how amazing it is that so many other people seem oblivious to the heavily biased takeover of so much media.
For some reason I was unaware of how to get the location to the after party, which I'd have liked to attend.
I hope there will be more supper club nights. I can't do the 15th, but would certainly be interested in doing this again. Great idea!

I will hit 65 next year. Since I started reading the Free Press, everyday (I don't do anything everyday other than...you know). One thought goes through my head each time I read an article...I wish I were younger. Granted, I wish I were younger for a myriad of reasons. But I wish I was younger so I could participate with you folks. I'm so happy you all have these outlets, social media included, to get to know each other and gather with "like'ish minded" folks. My hat is off to you.
At the after party I attended in Los Angeles there were definitely people your age or older as well as Gen z and everything in between. We had a blast!
