In Evanston, IL I've seen where a nice grandmother takes a Section8 apartment in a nice building in a nice neighborhood, but then her troubled grandson comes to live with her; and soon his ne'er do well buddies are there too, and the neighborhood starts to have crime.
Chicago has lost an huge number of blacks; to the suburbs via Section 8. But, the emigrants concentrated in a few S/SW suburbs which are now crime-ridden and essentially bankrupt.
I await with genuine intellectual curiosity what Mamdani's plans' details will be; and then of course the unintended negative consequences.

In my.opinion White Guilt should be required reading by all high school seniors.
I don't pretend to know exactly what takes place in high school classrooms but have a feeling there is lots of kendi and little if any Steele. And little if any Thomas Sowell and likely more lecturing than dialogue about racial matters. And yes a lot more focus on Marty and why character matters more than skin color.
