I love that The Free Press has the courage and integrity to publish a "mea culpa" article to end 2025. As we all know, television news has become nothing more than reports of tragedy and, more often, hand-wringing and terror of what might come to be (and almost never does).

This gave me fond memories of the McLaughlin Groups' end-of-the-year specials when all the big brains dressed up in tuxedos and blessed us with what they had learned in the previous 12 months.

I am happy to report that, using my secret identity as an illegal Somali immigrant, I have applied for dozens of grants in Minnesota and I hope Tim Walz continues to show his contempt for the United States and ends up in a Federal Prison that does not have tennis courts, golf, and an Infinity Pool.

Heroes? I once read a line that has stuck with me: "If you have a hero, look again; you have somehow diminished yourself." I think that there will be pushback but, there is value in remembering that.

Maybe it is because I live in Tennessee; but I will always consider Alvin York to be my hero. I think this does not diminish me in any way. Al Kaline, Wayne Gretzky, and Yogananda will always be my heroes and no one will ever be able to diminish those feelings.

It’s kind of scary that Niall Ferguson, a Brit who is credited with enormous intellectual prowess, wiffed on the essence of the United States as founded.

Deeply embedded in his otherwise valid essay (which Jeb should read) is this gem: “the exceptional character of the United States lay in its constitutional solution to an age-old problem: how to have a republic that provided its citizens not just with security, but also with liberty and prosperity. That was the goal set by the Declaration of Independence: to secure for ‘the People . . . certain unalienable Rights . . . among these . . . Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.’”

Yes, our republic was formed to secure (as in “put beyond the hazard of losing,” says Webster) liberty and prosperity, but it does not and never has “provided” its citizens with liberty and prosperity. Professor Ferguson, please re-read the text of the Declaration. A U.S. citizen’s liberty and his right to pursue happiness, which no doubt includes prosperity, are endowed (provided?) by one, and only one, source — his Creator. Our two founding documents recognize that humanity, whether free or in chains, possesses that self-evident liberty, which the government cannot take away, but, in fact, is charged with protecting against domestic and foreign aggressors. This is what makes our Republic exceptional.

This is a tough concept for most in our public school system, which proclaims its greatness even as its middle schoolers can’t name the 13 Colonies and its graduates can’t count change or read beyond an elementary level. I’d just expect Ferguson to know better.

lots of people cannot comprehend this, as you obviously know

they are conditioned to believe that government is the Benevolent Sugar Daddy

making right all that is wrong

understanding the point you make is the first step they must take if they wish to get back on the true path

More reporting done with a list and an iPhone than all of TFP and CBS - or any media.

If only he could go to every state and get it done like this. I have no doubt that plenty of fraud evidence can be found in my state, probably to the likes of Minnesota.

I’m sure it does. That’s why no one wanted DOGE. They were all in and getting rich on this garbage.

They are the ones to balance the budget, and they are the ones who have caused the massive debt…and it has much to do with acts like this. I can only imagine what else is out there.

We need some serious coverage about Fraud. Minneapolis is the tip of the iceberg. We need whistleblowers and on the ground journalists. Free Press, please make it happen! I am sick of the rampant fraud, useless congressional hearings and practically non-existent coverage by the media. And this is not only about the fraudsters, but also the enablers inside governments. Expose these people!

Is there one politician in DC that cares as much as Nick Shirley does about what he’s found? Haven’t heard one of them calling for Walz to resign. Both parties are guilty of fraud which is why it’s not being called out. Meanwhile we’ve been screwed out of billions of taxpayer money. No wonder why democrats were going nuts when DOGE was finding things. That was just the tip of the iceberg. We need a full time DOGE department to put our money in the right places IN OUR OWN COUNTRY!

If CBS news wants to really turn a corner, this fraud and all its tentacles in other states can be exposed along with who knows, who benefits domestically and just as important- who is defending the crimes- domestically. Who strikes first TFP or CBS?

Investigative journalism needs a rebirth. It’s dying because it’s easier for journalists to report on Epstein type stories. Sad.

One could make the argument that The Free Press is Israeli propaganda by simply counting the amount of times pro-Israel content is published weekly or a topic on antisemitism.

Especially when public sentiment on Benjamin Netanyahu is very negative, he’s positioned to where he’s supported: ie, appears with Trump.

There’s something to this “Israel is bad” thing, but it’s very nuanced and requires a delicate touch to navigate it.

Maybe that "public sentiment" is just the result of widespread dissemination of Hamas/Palestinian propaganda. Pallywood is real, and the western press has over and over again been shown to just naively (giving them the benefit of the doubt here) repeat it.

To the FP's credit, it is one of the few outlets that has tried to dig into the mountain of lies being told about Israel. There are plenty of other channels for those interested in anti-Zionist claptrap.

The Times of Israel regularly reports its opposition, mistrust, and dislike of Netanyahu, the man, his decisions and his politics. It's also good to remember that Netanyahu is not Israel. Our support for Israel exists alongside, but should not be totally identified with, Israel's current leadership.

If supporting “Israeli propaganda” is being on the side of the lone democracy offering full rights in the Middle East, within a massive nest of authoritarian thugocracies where women and minorities are second class citizens, then I’m all for it - as should be every decent moral person.

TFP is one of the few organizations that reports positively on Israel. Every one else demonizes Israel because these organizations are far left and pro Palestinian. Sorry but Israel is the sole bastion of freedom and democratic values in the Middle East. 2 Million Arabs are citizens and Muslims, Christians and any other religions can practice their faiths freely. The same cannot be said for any Arab/Muslim country. Gay people are not tortured, shot or thrown from roofs in Israel So, if the TFP is more pro Israel, there's a reason why.

Thank you Robert and the biggest fraud of all is Brucie Springsteen. Brucie loves to play the “blue collar” guy . It is laughable . Brucie also loves to tour Europe charging a thousand bucks a ticket while demonizing America and calling our President a Dictator . Brucie is not a smart guy . Anyone who gets arrested for drunk driving while in a “state park” is not that bright. Put down the bottle Brucie !

I was a diehard Bruce fan decades ago, but I’ve refused to support America haters for a long time. He and people like him act like they’re on the same level as middle class America, perhaps because they once were, as they live life in their mansions while doing nothing to give hope to those who spend their money on them. I just saw he became a billionaire this year. Poor guy.

Sure ; and I will give you just two examples . #1. CNN the mainstream media and the Deep State stated that President Donald J Trump was a RUSSIAN ASSET for years ! Fact is he is doing the best he can for the world and our country and he was duly elected to do so TWICE . Truth is he gives his presidential salary to a charity. President Trump is NOT a Russian Asset.

#2. The entire mainstream media said Joe Biden was “sharp as a tack” or we are getting “the best version of Joe Biden.” The fact is Joe Biden could literally not speak. He could not formulate a sentence!

I believe the Springsteen cover up about as much as I believe in the Easter Bunny. The mainstream media has destroyed itself. That is the beauty of TFP ; it is slightly different. It better be damn careful it stays that way.

"Beyoncé is now a billionaire, Forbes reported. The 44-year-old pop megastar is the fifth musician to cross the three-comma threshold" - Of course the only thing we want to know is she paying her "fair share". It is interesting that liberal tax fanatics that believe if we just gave more money to the government then all of our social problems would go away are eerily quiet when a pop star is insanely wealthy. They only want financial equity from the "mega-corps", and not music artists like Beyonce or Taylor Swift.
