"6 in 10 Americans disapprove of trump". I don't know who they're polling but it's not the thousands of people I know.

It's interesting that the readers that support Carlson, or are uninterested in him, are commenting here.

The readers that think he's a horrible anti-semite, are commenting after the two pieces about him.

I am not defending him at all, but no one ever mentions that you can despise a government and it's policies, yet not it's people.

That is possible.

People keep talking about a "secure perimeter" being breached at Mar a Lago, when "an armed man [apparently no question about sex this time] breached its secure perimeter." I do not think they understand the meaning of "secure" if it can be breached. Or maybe they mean shooters are secure if they do not breach that line.

Matthew's gospel read yesterday tells the story of Christ's encounter with the devil. Maybe a comparison of the two protagonists then and now--Jesus and Satan, Huckabee and Carlson-- is appropriate. Certainly Huckabee is a Christian, but like the rest of us falls short of perfection in living Christ's teachings. As to Tucker's separation from Satan and his wiles, well, you'll have to reach your own conclusion.

Expecting lots of coverage of Mexico from you. Just caught a live broadcast by Dan Dixx who happens to be there. This is huge

I noticed that rather than saying a 40% approval rating CBS and MSM are saying a 60% disapproval.

Negative news especially about Trump sells, period!

Y.T. Mann III's avatar

This is some major cope.

Bob R's avatar

Or rather major reality...go with accurate pollsters. ABC, Wapo, Ipsos polls' track record is poop (poor).

Tiresome. Whatever “anti-semitism” there is on “the right” is dwarfed by the anti semitism that results from the Left’s ideology. 100:1 is not worthy of both-sides-ism. You alienate natural supporters with this incessant exaggeration of non Left bloviators.

You give lunatics like TC oxygen. Why would Doran even agree to talk with him? We all know TC isn’t going to change. Doran just breathes more life and credibility to the guy. Or is the point to generate and exaggerate “right wing” “antisemitism”?

Tiresome. Attack the biggest threat: Leftist Democrats.

Tiresome.

Alison Cipriani's avatar

Doran didn't talk to him Huckabee did.

Peter R Kohli's avatar

Huckabee shouldn’t have given the laughing hyena the legitimacy he constantly craves.

And why did Israel give him permission to enter the country?

Alison Cipriani's avatar

If Israel had barred him it would have been a hayday for the Jew haters. Damned if we do damned if we don't. But agree that Huck shouldn't have interacted with him at all.

Peter R Kohli's avatar

You’re right! Sometimes I think it’s a great place to be, hated by all and loved by everyone else! Only we Jews can manage to do something that others have tried to imitate over the centuries!

The FP stated that the supreme court struck down the tariff policy. No, they just said the administration could not base their tariff authority on the law cited. Members of the court provided alternative paths for the tariffs. I ask myself why I am paying for biased incorrect reporting when I can get it for free from other media.

Jackson74's avatar

This is what Rubenfeld said in his FP writeup…or what I thought I read….

I asked myself the same question months ago, and promptly cancelled my subscription. I only check in on the comments periodically until the subscription runs out. If I could cancel twice, I would.

It is incredibly ignorant to say Tucker Carlson is the most important media figure on the right today. He is completely fringe and most of us on the right simply ignore his insanity.

Peter R Kohli's avatar

Yup I quite agree with you. How can anyone stand listening to him laugh?

The Olympics have again revealed the schism in America as witnessed by the anti American relations of many of our fellow citizens to the men's hockey gold and the Liu v Gu contrast . Just wait for July 4 or will the left all of sudden become PROUD Americans that week.

Rod, I was ready to agree with you on Tucker interview, until you brought up the “dna” test, you misrepresented what he meant by that, and what’s annoying is Tucker on this point actually explained in the interview what he meant, he wanted Huckabee to point out that you have universal principles or you don’t for countries , that’s it, he said many times, that he’s fine with a Jewish state. Why does America treat Israel different from every other country, is absolutely a fair question, even Pope Benedict was confused by the way current Americans treat Genesis 15, I remember him saying something like, “I care about Israel the country because you care about it” not some convulted understanding of scripture

B.'s avatar

Tucker Carlson is a spoiled, puerile prep boy who likes to provoke grownups.

Vance, who's done nothing more than pen a good yarn about himself, is very much the same.

You know, Americans (and immigrants from elsewhere who come here and aspire to become Americans) have been climbing out of their hardscrabble lives for as long as there has been an America; they just don't write bestsellers about themselves. What's so special about Vance I don't know.

He’s one of the rare politicians who seems to like America.

Clarity Seeker's avatar

And another is named Rubio. Would be interesting to know where they agree and have different views.

B.'s avatar

Rubio seems to be a mensch. Carlson is far from that.

ChatterW's avatar

Agree. In addition to the fact that doesn’t APOLOGIZE for loving this country and he is not intimidated by the Left.

B.'s avatar

Antisemites can't love anyone or anything but themselves. Too much is twisted around inside them.

But I see we have Carlson fanboys here. Okay.

Paul R's avatar

An angry, self absorbed twit. No, I'm not describing Tucker but rather B.

B.'s avatar

All I said was that antisemites are twisted inside. Do you disagree?

Jew haters are a curious species.

Y.T. Mann III's avatar

"Other haters" are clearly not, though.

Paul R's avatar

Jew haters? Does saying things like that imbue you with some kind some of self confidence? Because really what it does is make you look stupid.
