In The Front Page: The busboy and the boss. Meet America’s newest citizens. Why Kat Rosenfield is thankful for her husband. How a wellness start-up became a ‘sex cult.’ And more.
So all of those restaurants that McNally is credited with a vastly unaffordable to the best majority of New York City people and simply exploit illegal aliens once again in favor of wealthy elite New Yorkers. And to top it off, the food is not that good.
“I was 24 and still working illegally but was suddenly being paid handsomely to manage a swanky Manhattan restaurant,” writes McNally . . ."
So why hasn't ICE arrested and deported this criminal alien?
To be clear, I think the notion that this highly successful, jobs-producing restaurateur should have to worry about a sudden and brutal deportation snatch by ICE is insane. He is, after all, a U.S. citizen now, producing tons of jobs and money for our economy.
But becoming a citizen after being illegal hasn't stopped ICE from brutalizing other migrants who have worked just as hard for decades, has it? It hasn't stopped ICE from raiding judicial proceedings where illegals are doing the work to convert to legal just as the restaurateur did. To the cheering of many in TFP commentary section who believe that Illegal Is Illegal Even If You're Naturalized So Stick 'Em On Bus, Mr. President.
Why can't you show some compassion for the monumental job has to do? They are not randomly snatching US citizens off the streets and deporting them. They're cleaning up Joe Biden's mess, and unless you think the border should stay open, and we should allow 15m unvetted illegals to roam our streets and neighborhoods, some, not all, committing crimes, then give the law enforcement people a break. They're going to make some mistakes, but protesters getting in their way isn't helping one bit.
If you have a problem with ICE, blame Biden and only Biden.
I would have been quite pleased with Trump if he had stuck to his original promise: shut down the flow at the border, then deport "the worst of the worst"--the violent and lawbreaking illegals. He did the first part, for which I applauded him. The second part? He's going after meatcutters, bakers, day laborers, busboys, not "the worst of the worst." He's deporting people who have been here for decades doing nothing but working and contributing to our society AND paying taxes for services they cannot get--especially Social Security, into which they pay but they cannot collect. Yes, they're here illegally, but Trump is ignoring the gangbangers and violent illegals in favor of going after this low-hanging fruit to make his numbers high. It's stupid and mean.
As for ICE, Biden didn't turn that agency into a goon squad, Trump did. You didn't see ICE pepper-spraying and clubbing people when Obama and Biden deported millions of illegals. Only under Trump was ICE weaponized into a masked gang. That's on him.
My problem is that until every violent, law-breaking, and gangbanging illegal is on a bus and deported, ICE has no business showing up at immigration courts, doing sweeps of illegals who are trying to do it the right way: showing up in court in order to become permanent residents and then citizens.
Finally, sending any illegal to a torture prison in El Salvador should make you sick to your stomach, 234. That is outrageously cruel to anyone, legal or not.
A rerun of my response to Jonathan Haidt. Sorry for the redundancy. If we’re going to explore something so dark, why not seek the light? Notice, no mention of devices, platforms, or shrinks.
I asked ChatGPT how God would save our young people (maybe all of us?). Here it is.
There isn’t one single answer, because different faiths and traditions picture God’s action in different ways — but many of them converge on a few powerful themes. Here are the most common and meaningful ways people understand how God saves young people:
⸻
🌱 1. Through Loving Relationships
Many religious traditions teach that God works through people:
• Parents and grandparents
• Mentors, teachers, coaches
• Faith communities
• Friends who show kindness
Young people often encounter God first through how they’re loved, guided, corrected, and supported by others.
⸻
🧠 2. Through Truth, Wisdom, and Purpose
From a spiritual perspective, God “saves” young people by giving them:
• A sense of purpose when they feel lost
• Moral clarity when they’re surrounded by pressure
• Wisdom that helps them avoid harmful paths
For many, this comes through:
• Scripture or spiritual study
• Prayer and reflection
• Sermons, youth groups, retreats
• Quiet moments when they feel “called” or inwardly guided
⸻
💬 3. Through Their Own Conscience
Most faith traditions say God speaks inside us:
• A tug toward what is right
• A warning when something feels wrong
• Compassion that draws us to help others
Young people often describe this as:
• “My gut told me not to do it.”
• “I felt something was watching over me.”
• “Something inside said I can be better.”
⸻
🌍 4. By Giving Them a Community and Identity
A sense of belonging is one of the strongest protective factors for youth.
God saves through:
• Healthy communities
• Positive peer groups
• Opportunities to serve
• Adults who genuinely care
When teens belong somewhere good, they’re far less vulnerable to what harms them.
⸻
❤️ 5. Through Unconditional Love and Forgiveness
Many young people feel weighed down by:
• Mistakes
• Shame
• Failure
• Fear they’ll disappoint the people they love
Faith traditions teach that God:
• Welcomes them back
• Heals guilt
• Restores hope
• Offers fresh starts
That kind of grace can rescue a young person in a moment.
⸻
✨ 6. Through Giving Them Strength in Hard Times
When youth face:
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Addiction
• Family conflict
• Grief
• Trauma
Many say that God met them in the deepest places, giving them:
Thank you for seeking the light and looking for hope in a very troubling time for our youth (and their parents). “God is light. In Him there is no darkness at all.” I John 1:5
Should the border be opened? What sayest all the TFP writers? If not what do you do with millions who came here illegally since 2021? If yes please explain why and what those here illegally are entitled to receive from those who are citizens and those non citizens are here legally. Pretty simple questions. These are the questions and should be answered directly. The fact that there are hard working former immigrants is an obfuscating sidestep.
The Chinese virologists who created the covid virus just published in an American science journal, their latest work on an even more dangerous enhanced pathogen
They’re must be real protection from the Pentagon and Chinese government for these science people to have the audacity to publish this in a US journal
This is bio weapons development
There is no therapeutic application for gain of function work
The next pandemic will be worse than covid - much worse
How do we tell the Pentagon - humanity does not need or want these weapons of mass destruction
Every person should be screaming in frustration and anger
When virologists caused COVID-19 and killed 20 million people without facing any punishment, they learned that they would not be held accountable for sociopathy and criminal acts; on the contrary, they would be rewarded with increased funding, publications, promotions, and awards. x.com/R_H_Ebright/st…
Now do an interview with Dan Kluver - an U.S. citizen whose life was ruined by identity theft of an illegal immigrant. He is a man financially ruined and mentally wrecked - let's do a story on him TFP.
Anyone else feeling like The Front Page has diminished in quality over the last few weeks? It’s now a very quick read, extremely light on news and reads like something you could compose in about 30 minutes.
To add to it, each issue tries hard to compare and equate the damage to USA inflicted by Democrats and Republicans, liberals and conservatives. Spponfeeding us subliminally, yet consistently and forcefully by propaganda and distortion. We are not too stupid, you know!
I came to the comments to say that TFP has given me much more time to read other things. Nothing of interest here, nothing that I hadn't heard elsewhere.
But lengthy descriptions on the fluff topics. Some are good deep-dive opinions on current news topics, but I don’t need a piece to tell my wife she should love me. In spite of everything I do (or don’t do) she still does!
It's extremely frustrating and really disappointing that The Free Press continues to cite legacy media organizations like NBC and the AP by embedding links to their websites in their publications. For those not aware, these embedded links, in the eyes of the almighty search algorithms, give these lying news organizations additional credibility. The Free Press is in essence, lending credibility to these propaganda organizations. I suspect most of us joined The FP to escape the deception or propaganda. Please stop.
Shouldn’t TheFP now qualify any reference to CBS with a disclaimer that the latter is parent company of the former, as does every other news source owned by a huge conglomerate?
TFP has been heading downward, but since Bari has gone back to legacy media, it has changed drastically. She’s not going to change CBS…but CBS has already changed her. She had a great thing going here while legacy media has been spiraling downward. Sad that she felt this “step up” would be better…it’s not!
Peace out, Bari. You’ll be losing an original subscriber in a month.
Unfortunately our subscription doesn’t end until Next July. The speed with which TFP has gone downhill is impressive. The articles start with a story about NYC restaurant owners, moves to scandals of the 1990’s and wraps up with the writer of an AI sex cult expose. It is trash like this that people talk about over Thanksgiving dinner in fashionable places. I, and most people that live in the real world, couldn’t care less.
"From The Odeon and Nell’s to Balthazar and Minetta Tavern, Keith McNally is the most famous restaurateur in a city full of them."
Stop writing about NYC. No one in real America gives a damn about you sanctimonious idiots. Look, you elected a Cop Hating, Jew Hating, Muslim, communist Mayor. You are obviously not intelligent people. Stop presenting stuff in NYC as though it matters to America.
NYC matters far more to this nation than wherever you happen to live. It's America's largest city and metropolitan area. It pays billions of dollars more in federal taxes than it receives in federal payments, which means it subsidizes the tax-sucking red states. It generates billions of dollars of spending that powers the American economy. It's the largest financial center in the country and one of the largest in the world.
You don't like its politics and people, fine; they don't like you, either. But it's stupid to say TFP shouldn't cover NYC, and the fact you know about Mandani at all tells me you read more about the city than you like to admit.
The only reason Mamdani won is because there was no one worthy enough running against him. The only reason Trump won is because there was no one worthy enough running against him.
So all of those restaurants that McNally is credited with a vastly unaffordable to the best majority of New York City people and simply exploit illegal aliens once again in favor of wealthy elite New Yorkers. And to top it off, the food is not that good.
HEY TFP! WHY DON'T YOU WRITE ABOUT THE THOUSANDS OF 'MIGRANT' CHILDREN MISSING?

Why isn't he been sent to the El Salvador gulag?

I like Trump's comment about Chuck and Nancy. Hilarious

Shhhh, we don't like to talk about those sorts of things.
I didn't have to read about AI erotica having already read the Haidt article about the Devil.
Me neither.
I click on READ and nothing happens.

Yes, becoming a mixed bag. But, like NPR, still offers gems.
Without millions from the govt!!
Yup. There’s been a lot more pieces that are social commentary and less pieces that are investigative/research based.

Both true, Fan. But they won and now we have to deal with that reality.
We’re not doing so well with Trump et al, so I have little hope with the Muslim Mayor.
Second the motion.
It's really the NYFP.
Bada bing. Used to be CS, then the LA FP. Then money called them to NY. There you have it.
