Who should you trust: ChatGPT or your doctor? The real reason Bitcoin crashed. Columbia’s Edward Said Professorship controversy. Ghislane Maxwell’s unearthed deposition. And more.
"A transgender shooter killed at least eight people—six at a secondary school and two of the shooter’s family members at a nearby home—and wounded 27 others in remote Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, before committing suicide."
It would have been nice if you had devoted more time to this story. Especially given the fact that the so-called 'mainstream press' in both Canada and the US have steadfastly refused to mention the shooter was transgender.
May I suggest a big story for TFP, devoted to the huge rise in mass shootings carried about by transgenders, and the fact that transgenders are disproportionately responsible for more shootings the past few years than any other 'group'.
The absolute batshit raving and mouth foaming the Democrats have been displaying the past few days on Epstein matters is mind boggling. I guess they were too busy picking lint from their navel the four years of the last administration to opine on the subject.
An Edward Said Chair in Arab Studies is like a Lysenko Chair in Genetics. Columbia continues to lead our academies’ descent into Marxist nihilist garbage.
Thank you TFP for being honest about the shooter. I have read three different articles about the incident. One said it was a woman, one said nothing about the shooter other than they died of a self inflicted gunshot wound, and yours said it was a trans person. This is crazy…..
Well, you have to remember... One of the democrat chants is, Transwomen are Real Women. So you always have to factor that in when you look at a 'news' clip.
Cue the panic with a "possible deployment . . . potentially marking the first two-carrier presence there in nearly a year." Something possibly, potentially will maybe happen that has never ever happened in all recorded history . . . except in the last 11 months or so. The horror.
Wowie, zowie--stop the free presses: "a disclosure discovered only recently that may have violated federal privacy law." May have. Pretty much anything "may have" done pretty much anything . . . what a tough standard of what is newsworthy. But since it's the Trump administration that "may have" done it, print it.
"...oppose Netflix’s proposed $82 billion acquisition of Warner Bros., warning regulators that the merger could slash residuals, cut production jobs, and pose an existential threat to entertainment workers..."
Having lived during the time of the AT&T monopoly breakup, I confess to being utterly bewildered by the constant modern-day gobbling up of entertainment and various broadcast/media companies. I thought we were against that.
Columbia( and its little sister Barnard ( I prefer barnyard)) is now best known for one thing only: Jew Hatred. And it began with Said. The seeds of the hatred were planted long long ago and what we witnessed beginning Oct 7 was predictable by anyone who was paying attention before that date.
“The Congressional Budget Office warns that despite President Trump’s sweeping tax cuts and high tariffs, the federal debt is still projected to reach record levels”. Despite his sweeping tax cuts? I think it meant to read: “because of his sweeping tax cuts”.
Tax cuts often lead to more revenue. They always lead to more money n citizens’ pockets, in any case. That is good, unless you are on the Sheriff of Nottingham’s side.
Annual revenue from the corporate income tax has more than doubled since Trump brought the rate down to one that is competitive with the rest of the world.
The "Laffer Curve is fiction on a napkin" is the claim of someone completely ignorant of anything Laffer said. It is the public sector economics equivalent of 1+1=2.
“The Pentagon has directed a second aircraft carrier strike group to prepare for possible deployment to the Middle East as President Trump considers military action if nuclear talks with Iran collapse”

Excited to hear Democrats complain about how expensive it is to have ships we already paid for, manned by people who we are already paying and feeding regardless, go to the Persian Gulf.
The actual additional cost of moving around nuclear powered things we already own is almost zero.
(NOTE: Fully aware this could turn into a long-term boondoggle and another “fight them over there so we can bring them over here” Muslim immigration scam, at which point I shall also complain.)

Thank you FP for putting this at the top of the story instead of tucking it rather confusingly in the NYT piece

Uh, that wasn't lint.
"Rand Paul is one of Washington's loneliest men..."
I can't think of a better advertisement.

A lot of old news.
Bari needs to help CBS which is failing.
TFP was a bonanza for the founders
Kevin Durant? be on fire today! Go, Kevin, go. But, to be fair, it was an unusually moronic TFP news day today.

The word "may" does as much heavy lifting for paid scribblers as does the word "virtually."
I loved the app that Will Rahn and his wife devised. Have already shared the online version with family and friends. Thanks
The Leftward Lurch of TFP continues. How sad it is.
Jesus. That's crazy.
There are a ton of people, in the comments and elsewhere who think it's pushing rightward to curry favor with Trump.
Generally, if both sides don't like you, you're doing something right.
LEFTWARD LURCH: Said something negative about my sainted president.

I only know one person who went to Barnard. I graduated from high school with her many moons ago. She’s Jewish. Crazy.
I first thought, didn't "Brenda Patimkin" (Goodbye, Columbus) go to Barnard? But I checked and no, it was Radcliffe.
I thought it was spelled “Radicaliffe”?
Have a good friend whose daughter went there ten plus years ago. Left of left

The Laffer curve is fiction on a napkin, a zombie belief that is too enticing to die.

Spending is the problem.

Any time I hear a Democrat complain about government spending I throw up a little in my mouth.
