All we have to do is look at the results of 4 years of Biden/ Harris. If Trump was smart he would let their record do all the talking , talk is cheap.

Donny-boy sure does sound desperately insecure about his little chicky-boo opponent, doesn't he?

In 2019, Kamala Harris was interviewed on The Breakfast Club by Charlamagne the God. She joked about how she smoked ganja when she was young. After all, she's half Jamaican on her father's side. Donald Harris was not amused and publicly stated that his mother and grandparents would be rolling in their graves. He added that he and his immediate family wanted to "disassociate from this travesty."

I'm sorry that I ever opened the Daniel Pearl video if only briefly. I am still haunted by the screams and it was by far one of the worst things I have ever seen.

I’m sorry. It’s important we never forget. This is the same enemy we face today in a different form. The hate and the motives have never changed.

Yes - horrific. Try to find something to put in its place in your mind whenever it pops in … the Lord’s Prayer for instance. I have a mega photographic memory & I really & truly can relate. Literally redirecting one’s brain can be effective, not easy. You are in my prayers 🙏

I can’t wait to hear Princess Kamala promise each American 🇺🇸 a free range chicken 🐓 in every air fryer & an electric ⚡️ 🚗 car in every _not a garage because they can’t afford a house 🏡 let alone a garage. But hey there are those few charging stations that cost a bazillion dollars 💸

The democrats are playing by a whole new playbook. I doubt Harris is actually in the loop. You don’t go from totally UNQUALIFIED to absolutely STELLAR. Americans better wake up before it’s too late.

Did the same with Biden. He was always described as a “gaffe machine “ who never accomplished anything in his decades of service. Gets the nomination and overnight he’s an elder statesman, able work across the aisle, and has wisdom from decades of service.

Yes 👍 & why can we not stop this speeding out of control train? We can’t even jump off 🙏

Well I guess Build Back Better was a colossal failure. I find it unfathomable that Harris has caught up in the polls. Are Democrats so ridiculously stupid to see that the policies of the Democrat Party are NOT WORKING. But yet they are going to vote for Harris? She is not competent to be President. I am deeply concerned about the fate of this country.

KSM deserves to die a torturous death. Thank goodness they revoked the plea deal.

We have only to look at, once again, the disastrous policies of Democrats regarding our border to see why we have some of the very serious issues we are facing. How many dangerous criminals have they let in?

And the Democrat from Maryland says they will invoke the 14th amendment if Trump gets elected? Now who is not going to accept the results of the election? Does anyone see an autocratic one party wants to rule forever problem?

Why is KSM still alive?

Expand full comment

Tbh, I like the idea of him rotting in a US prison that's marooned in a communist country. If he dies, he's a martyr and he has his virgins waiting for him in heaven. Let's let the guy marinate until he's 97. While we're at it, let's let him have access to exclusively western television too. I can't imagine a better punishment than KSM being so bored he watches I Love Lucy and Friends reruns until he dies.

Expand full comment

All on the taxpayer's dime. A bullet is cheap. There is no heaven waiting for him. The real question is, WHY is he still alive?

Expand full comment

Don't knock "I Love Lucy".

I assure you, that was not my intent and I would never! My mom would have my head!

I mention that show and Friends because they are antithetical to KSM and what he stands for, while being beloved pieces of American culture. I can’t imagine a more fitting demise for a man that has hate for America baked into his DNA than being exposed to our culture until his final breath.

While expensive, a miserable life in prison is a much worse punishment for KSM than the delusion of dozens of virgins and paradise.

I find it extremely frightening that a member of the US Congress cannot tell that Hamas is a terrorist organization, and part of her logic is that her group had been accused of being terrorists, but they weren't. Shouldn't a congressperson be able to identify logical fallacies? If someone accuses me of being an assassin, but I'm not, it doesn't mean that Sirhan Sirhan wasn't an assassin because he was also accused. If you don't understand political nuance, don't work in politics.

Expand full comment

Her equivocation only stems from her agreement with the Cause. One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter. She thinks Hamas is resistance, and therefore an ever noble cause.

Hamas brutally and intentionally gang raped, tortured, and burned Israelis alive, then deliberately hid among crowded Palestinian civilians, making them targets, and also stole their food supplies. There is no moral relativity regarding Hamas; there is only ignobility and cowardness. And please don't tell me Israel is doing the same thing. They are not.

You left out the kidnapping of Israeli children, women, and elderly as well as the kidnapping of US citizens. If what Hamas did on Oct. 7th does not qualify as terrorism to her, then she should have explained what her definition of terrorism is.

Expand full comment

One of Hamas' biggest successes has been convincing the West that they are a social justice movement instead of a terrorist organization. The only justice in Gaza is Sharia law. Women and men can be arrested for mingling together, women are forced to cover their bodies from head to toe, gay people are murdered, and anyone who tries to promote peace with Israel is jailed and tortured.

Immigration. Here in Canada, we have always valued immigration in the building of our country and I assume that is true for the USA. North America was sparsely populated when it was "discovered" by Columbus et al. So, bringing people over from Europe, and elsewhere, made sense. All four of my grandparents were immigrants to Canada.

Fast forward to today. Canada still needs immigrants, but we need immigrants with skills. Our federal government has increased that kind of immigration, but also "temporary foreign workers" and "university Students". Those descriptions are in parenthesis because they are code for "immigrants" because they turn out to be permanent, not temporary. The numbers are huge, in the millions per year, and the federal government has lost track of how many there are and where they are. The result has been an explosion in housing costs (especially rentals) and a trickle down ousting of the poor and disabled from the most affordable types of housing. Result: homeless encampments everywhere.

I can't blame people for wanting to improve their lot in life, especially for their children and grandchildren. They see an opportunity to leave a hell-hole and take it, oftentimes at great risk to their safety. One way to stem the flow of migrants would be to somehow make their "hell-hole" secure and prosperous. How do you do that?

Right now, there is a situation in Venezuela where a vicious dictator has, clearly, lost an election. There is an opportunity to oust him and his gang. What could the West do to make that happen?

Food for thought!

Niall Ferguson and Nadine Zahawi’s columns share a common thread of action taken too late because of overlooked signals or wishful thinking. Another interpretation might be bad data and gaslighting. April, May, annd June’s employment numbers were revised down. If they had been accurately reported at the time, July’s numbers would not have been a surprise and the Fed could have acted in a more timely manner. This gives rise to the question: Why do the BLS’s numbers suck so bad on a continuous and frequent basis. The razor maybe they are either stupid or lying (a personal favorite) or another chestnut “ never put down to malice what can be explained by mere stupidity”. The head favors stupidity (wait what?). The heart favors malice (hey it’s my heart) based on, well it’s an election year. In either case, why would the Fed continue to rely on their “Data” when in fact it is the sort of hot garbage that evokes tears of jealousy from dumpster fires? Powell and Co. aren’t dumb although I offer no guarantees. I also don’t get the impression ,necessarily, that they are lying or malicious. Perhaps they are simply using the best data available just like any modestly competent manager and they should be regarded as such. Obviously, they should have been skeptical but they acted as though the numbers were more reliable even as many of us were thinking “yeah right.” So whether the Federal Reserve Board are moderately exceptional managers or exceptionally moderate managers they’re just schmoes like us; unable to see the future and bound by mortality and perhaps that is the greatest insult of all to the elite.

They’re just schmoes like us. No one can predict the future. No one even knows what’s going on now. Greenspan calls it “sailing by the wake.” You look at where you’ve been and try to figure out from that where you’re heading.
