Thanks for the Niall Ferguson and Jed Rubenfeld articles. Both very wise folks who write with clarity on complex subjects.

Rarely see Dick Van Dyke not smiling. That's key I think.

Another judicial dictator protecting comey. Seems clear comey prefers to do anything to avoid the opportunity to.prove his innocence.

Hold it. The EU suppresses dissent. Sounds very putinesque to me.

I made my comments under Ferguson essay.

I would add that we need to get our house in order, tape Trump mouth shut,

Get rid of radical Islam

Get rid ofthe teachers union brainwashing our children

So much to do

So little time to do it.

Who is We

We refers to the US not a political party as both of them suck and have accomplished nothing of importance except it is good political sense to follow the leader.

I am an independent and find the only answer in politics is no answer.

Have you not noticed they never answer any question asked them except what their parties politics demands.

I too am an independent and share that view. But we have a very fragmented populace many of whom are not terribly well informed and in fact get their "facts" via social media. Most politicians are worthless but that's our system whether you and I like it or not. I view the left as hopeless. They wanted and got an open border. They protect and defend narco terrorists and those who steal billions through fraud. They are not about to change their stripes.

So how-to prevent them from reacquiring power? Education (monitoring schools and universities) and communicating clear facts , values and messages. Not trumps strong suit . And in the meantime we have guys like Carlson who in my view are detrimental to the foregoing but with huge and growing platforms that likely will suppress voting by those who detest him and at best hus seeming indifference to the values of those he platforms. Houston, we have a problem

We agree on everything.

I would add to your list since you mentioned one of them, Candace Owens, Nick Fuentes, the Squad, and the other crazies with large following them into oblivion or perhaps making a huge change in our country.

The one point you bring up is education which directs me to ask everyone to listen to TFP Abigail Shrier "the Kindergarten Intifada" a number of years ago to see how biased a group can be and lead our children to the 29th ranking in standardized tests in the world.

Guess who is at the top? I don't know but I would bet China is in the top three and therefore the next generation will have their heads full to compete.

Not with Randy Weingarden at the helm.

Yes, Houston will we make it back to earth?

I would assume republicans. Dems like when Trump says stupid stuff, they’re bringing Islam into USA politics, they’re pro transgender in public education and they could care less about woman having to compete with men because trans trumps (no pun intended) women now in the Democratic Party. And yes, so little is time is correct…less than one year.

Does that include Tucker Carlson and those he platforms that are more likely than not to either vote d or stay home.

He and Candace and MTG and more are doing a fine job of dividing the party, and the only outcome that is likely to happen is a Democrat win in the midterms and possibly 2028. Politicians on both sides are in it for themselves. Look how wealth they become once they are in office. It’s sickening.

Because I figure FP readers are interested in the ongoing saga of how the West Midlands Police doctored the advice, including citing a football match which never took place and falsely claiming to have consulted Jewish leaders over it. They are now having to apologise. https://www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/article/maccabi-tel-aviv-aston-villa-hrsczhwq3 or https://archive.ph/oNXYY

And the exchange yesterday between Baroness Falkner and Trevor Phillips who both understand the Equality Act 2010 and its implications was fascinating, not the least about how certain liberals looked the other way when Sara Sharif was murdered and didn't question why she was wearing a hajib. Baroness Falkner who is Muslim fears any definition of Islamophobia could be weaponised by a small group of men, such as those responsible for grooming gang behaviour. https://youtu.be/oSqHbQubuxA

“The Yale historian Timothy D. Snyder said the document read like a Russian national security document.”

————————————————-

Snyder is the same guy who called Elon Musk’s DOGE initiative a “coup.” How much more in bed with the deep state can one be? He’s also one of the Yale professors who left the U.S. for Canada when Trump was elected.

And why is it that Oliver Wiseman focuses only on the negative reviews of the national security document when the article is strongly supporting its positions? (Yes, of course we know why…that anti-Trump bias.)

Who cares what NYT, the economist, and Yale’s Tim Snyder think? They are the failed establishment. Niall is far superior to them, which is what we are here for.
