The Michael Dunne article "The Car World Is Going Electric, Without America" is so deeply flawed that it is hard to know where to start in terms of pointing out its inaccuracies, incorrect conclusions, weak premises, and lack of details. In the same breath he tells the reader that the U.S. has access to less than 30% of the rare earth materials compared to China's 70% then says we should move faster way from internal combustion without acknowledging the vulnerability of doing so. Readers should take the article with a grain of salt.
