I get it, everyone’s in knots over Minneapolis. In fact, the whole posting this morning is regurgitation of low-hanging fruit. Meanwhile, the NYPost has excerpted a new book by Peter Schweizer documenting birth tourism in Saipan and other US territories. The numbers he cites of Chinese citizens vacationing in these paradises and then just happening to drop babies are astounding. Certainly TheFP has enough cash at its disposal to plunk a couple of reporters down in Saipan, Guam and other islands to confirm the report. I hope the Supreme Court takes a sober look at the practice vis a vie the phrase “not subject to any foreign power” when the issue comes before them.

Do you think The Free Press has become so appalingly wrong and TDS intentionally in order to bait our exceptional commenters (Evans W, Kevin D, Yuri, et al) to share their truthful and relevant observations for free? Because today I read only the comments. My Bull shit meter warned me loud and clear not to believe it wise to process so many examples of liberal propaganda through my delicate brain this early in the day. Kudos to the Free Press comments section. I hope Bari reads the comments.

Don't fall for any of this mishandled immigration trash. Forever and always "The Left’s Performative Outrage: They’re always looking for their chance to do a Selma bridge moment." Being covered over is the massive fraud in Mn and now it seems Maine, tucked way up in the northeastern corner has a large fraud operation with multiple businesses set up for 'home care' companies with multiple offices in one building but nobody working in any office. Thus the presence of ICE must be ended. The Soros funded DA in Philly is sounding off like he wants to be the next front in the Democrat Party insurrection-insurgency.

Tom Servo's avatar

What is the one thing Maine and Minnesota have in common? Other than horrible weather. Skinnies. Lewiston and Minneapolis are brimming with Skinnies. I never understood the attraction to semi-literate savages, but the folks in both places seem to have a hardon for them.

I've wondered too but it must have something to do with self annointed virtue signaling, minus the virtue. Too many older Democrats still hold on to the "noble savage' ideal. They ain't noble.

WHERE IS THE BALANCE?

What is the world happened? Sure, have Ruy, Mikey et al post articles criticizing Trump.

But you told me you were going to be balanced when you started out. Not a single article stating the other side's position.

Not one.

I could just as easily be reading the NYT.

I'm so disappointed in you. I really thought you were better than this.

Of course, they aren't better than this. They are presstitutes. It's like the adage of the scorpion and the frog.

A scorpion asks a frog to carry him across a river. The frog hesitates, afraid of being stung. The scorpion promises he won’t sting—doing so would doom them both. Midway across, the scorpion stings the frog anyway. As they sink, the frog asks why. The scorpion replies: “I couldn’t help it. It’s my nature.”

There is not a single story in the FP that I want to read today. Is Mike Pence your token conservative? Ha! My subscription is up in February, and you're making it so easy for me.

For the last two decades, members of Congress, particularly of the Squad variety, have literally been encouraging attacks on other Congress members and attacks on Trump. They only object when the worm turns on them.

The Left and Media narrative on immigration (2021) - The border is sealed, iron-tight.

The Left and Media narrative on immigration (2023) - Ok, there's a problem, but it won't be solved unless Congress passes an amnesty bill.

The Left and Media narrative on immigration (2024) - People are delusional if they think Trump can fix it.

The Left and Media narrative on immigration (2025) - Ok, Trump has really sealed the border, but we still need to keep all these immigrants to pick our vegetables.

The Left and Media narrative on immigration (2026) - "Wow, can you believe how much Trump has botched immigration, and what a divisive mess he has caused!!!"

C'mon Free Press, wake up.

The Media/DNC message is quit looking where we have covered up.

My single greatest non-performing asset is sitting in my garage. I would love to be able to point my key fob at my 2005 Honda Pilot and send it off to ferry granny from the local assisted living establishment to the grocery and back again all while I post comments on TheFP!

"The FBI searched an elections office in Fulton County, Georgia, over accusations of alleged voter fraud during the 2020 election. The county’s voter base is largely non-white and backed Joe Biden that year. Trump’s claims of fraud are buoying the investigation, one source familiar with the matter told CNN."

The above is the last news item posted in the Free Press emailing today. It is so typical of misleading liberal media bias.

No, it is not "Trump's claims of fraud that are buoying the investigation." What's buoying this investigation is that unsigned tabulation tapes in Georgia’s Fulton County potentially impacted 315,000 votes in a huge chain-of-custody scandal, a Georgia State Election Board investigation found. Ann Brumbaugh, attorney for the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections, even admitted on behalf of the county that the tapes were not signed at a Dec. 9 board meeting. That is why the FBI searched an elections office in Georgia.

Imagine that? They discovered chain of custody issues with 315,000 votes in Georgia--in "the most secure election in history."

The CEO of SBUX was just on CNBC. At the end of the interview they brought up his security arrangements for himself and his family. He said it was something he'd never considered he'd need in his job.

I bring this up because the Left has normalized violence against those of whom they disapprove.

That is the real danger of MN. If Trump caves and withdraws, or blames LEO, that will just further embolden the Leftist crazies. They learned during the Antifa and other riots that they can get away with this in certain cities. I'm sure the last thoughts in Goode's mind before dying, and certainly in her wife's mind, was "they aren't allowed to fight back !! To defend themselves!". We've seen that with the whole Defund and other movements. Taunts, attacks, doxxing, threatening SC Justices, killing healthcare CEOs, and on and on and on, were all tolerated.....over and over and over and over. And, thus became normalized. Leftist violence and criminality is given a pass and thus is the norm.

So now milquetoast guys like the SBUX CEO need security details for themselves and their families. Really? Because he's the CEO of a large corporation that doesn't EXACTLY conform to the Left's ukases?

This has to stop.

Protest all you want in a park. Get a permit for a march. But, the moment you interact physically or psychologically with LEO you are a criminal. The fact that it has been given a pass in the past does not make it legal. Or wise.

Forgot to add that I am disappointed in Bari Weiss. I do hope money has not tainted her objectivity. But then, everyone seems to succumb to the mighty dollar or we would not have riots in the streets supported by the MSM.

Tom Sparks's avatar

The organized criminality (funding mobs, billions in medicaid/are etc fraud, voter fraud, and many more) just overwhelms governments' abilities to prosecute them. Especially when politicians and bureaucrats in Blue cities and states interfere with investigations because they benefit from the massive money flows too. Personally or politically or both.

Peter Schiff? Net-net, the guy has destroyed so much of his followers' wealth. "Often in error; never in doubt". A top in gold must be near when he's quoted even in TFP.

Claire's avatar

Although I am unhappy that I supported TFP because it has fallen to lower heights, it gives me hope in the future when I read the intelligent comments and critics of it’s readers. Maybe all is not lost after all, America seems to be waking up!
