"A 26-year-old man has been arrested for planning to violently attack pro-Palestinian activist Nerdeen Kiswani. . . . According to CBS News, police said Heifler is an 'extremist with no criminal record with the NYPD.'"

Ah, man bites dog. If only foiled Muslim plots to blow up parts of New York City as well as its sites associated with Jews were as well reported.

I hope that while those people were mindlessly screaming "No Kings!" they appreciated the fact that this is one of the last places left on Earth where they have the freedom to assemble and freedom of expressing their views, no matter how misdirected they may be.

Mike Gustine's avatar

I see the left no longer does irony. If Trump was really who they think he is, they would all be in jail, at best. And I don't like Trump much (though am okay with most of what he's been trying to do in his second term).

Remember, remember...'s avatar

Exactly. I see Trump as odious and not presidential, but he is no king or dictator.

Not that Republicans are much better, but I've noticed a pattern over my 50 years of voting and that is that Democrats wrap themselves in the Constitution when they are out of power, but once they are in power, the Constitution is just a document written by evil, white slave owners and deserves no reverence at all.

".... As a Free Press reader, you’re no doubt aware of an antisemitism problem within Catholicism... "

Actually, no. I am not. I know that there are certain people who purport to be Catholic that are antisemitic, but as someone raised Catholic in the 60's and 70's I was taught that Hebrews and the Jewish people were the Apple of God's eye. That the man I call Savior, is/was Jewish.

I don't know when that changed, but most of the people I know now who are Catholic still believe that.

I know many like you. But I also know many who are viciously anti israel. That's why stereotyping is both dumb and dangerous

Rachel's avatar

Ah, so those 6 people I saw on an overpass in Dallas were part of the "thousands" protesting?! Hmm.

I thought they closed all holy sites 2 weeks ago to protect people from missiles coming in from Iran

This is an attempt to divide us, as in divide and conquer. Look to China & Russia and their compatriots running No King protests for confirmation.

I can think of many legitimate reasons to shut down funding the government.

I can think of no legitimate reasons to blame the majority for the shutdown rather than the minority.

If you believe the actions of the government are so egregious that it must be stopped then by all means do it.

BUT to blame the majority for the shutdown is incredibly hypocritical.

Have the courage to stand tall and take pride in the fact that you were willing to bring some or all governmental functions to a halt.

Clarity Seeker's avatar

When I see Schumer and Jeffries, the first word that comes to mind is courage ( but uttered as Bert Lahr said it)

Was there any violence during the no kings hootananny ? How many ICE officers committed acts of gestapo like assault or battery or threw bottles or concrete? Asking for a plaintiff lawyer friend looking for a big payday

Steve G's avatar

Good question. Those trigger happy, blood thirsty ICE guys must have shot hundreds of people. I mean even Congressmen have been warning us about it!

From his luxury condo in Qatar, billionaire Hamas leader Ghazi Hamad says that October 7 was well worth it, given the backlash Israel now faces.

Imagine hating Jews so much that you consider tens of thousands of your own people dying to be a win.

Please listen to this interview - this is the lying leader of Hamas

From @hernntertsch translated from his Spanish

Hundreds of Christians are massacred on Palm Sunday in Syria and Nigeria. There are many dead, infinite cruelty from the Muslim aggressors, and towns laid waste.

-An indolent silence across the entire West.

Israel suspends public prayers of all religions due to threats of Iranian missiles, apologizes for it to the Christian community, explains it, and resolves it.

Great worldwide indignation, the fruit of massive manipulation and poisoning.

The double standard reaches levels of indecency that are absolutely unbearable.

The non story that became a story only because of Jew hating

Mike Gustine's avatar

I did a search for this, and only find things from last year. I'm guessing from your comment that something similar happened again this year? I am appalled at this happening regardless, I'm just curious if it's being totally ignored by media, or if this is still referring to what happened last year?

Separation of church and state should be the standard across the globe. The entire Middle East needs to allow freedom of religion and governance by rule of law, not rule of religious doctrine.

That being said- if a country is at war shutting down a church for safety reasons should not be an international issue.

Feels like there is more outrage this morning than when Iran literally hit the church with a ballistic missile…

Eitan Fieschberger on X

Agreed. In just 7 hours, 192,000 posts were published about the Cardinal.

Do you want to know many posts covered Iranian missile shrapnel hitting the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on March 16?

I just ran the numbers using social listening tools. The answer is around 9,100

Me- cut the fake outrage

Pizzabolla bashes Israel at every opportunity - this was a PR stunt

And a certain news organization fell for it. Too bad Will didn't consult you for more facts ( here and in your comments to the specific article). When the subject is prone to emotional manipulation the writer should dig deeper for full factual analysis. Something the old Gray lady on 41st and 8th rarely does.

BIEGE IS BEAUTIFUL!

Affirmative Action began in 1961 with Executive Order 10925.

Since then, Affirmative Action has morphed and mutated until we reached the hideous logical conclusion that is… D.E.I.

For over half a century it has not only been legal to discriminate against one skin color it has been encouraged by our government.

It is time to drive a stake through the heart of this racist system.

Unfortunately, the Democrats are poised to take back power and we are likely to see a subtler but far more effective racism than we have had for more than half a century.

As a Person of Color, I fear Trump was a speed bump not a bollard.

BIEGE MAN CAN’T GET NO JUSTICE!

😉😉😉😉😉

I'm afraid that if Dems get the presidency and both houses of Congress, it'll come back about as subtle as a freight train.

I_C_DeadPeople's avatar

I am still confused about the US holding elections later this year and in 2028. I was sure that if Trump was elected it was the end of democracy. I heard that somewhere….

Clarity Seeker's avatar

I fear it will not be that subtle next time

Kathy Barkulis's avatar

All those stupid boomers yelling No Kings were perfectly fine when the Democrats appointed Kamala Harris to run for the presidency without a single vote. They invented the kings. What a sorry group of idiots.

David Richter's avatar

They were also fine with the previous Commander In Chief being a demented puppet.

Clarity Seeker's avatar

Would they favor a Drag KING story hour.

How is it that those who oppose kings have no issues with"religious leaders" who mow down their citizens? I think the gender card can't be played with regard to that question but who knows in a gender fluid world.

Thanks!
