The Democratic party has given America its first sugar coated taste of Marxism just to win an election and shows us the depth and danger of the party’s decline.
First kisses are catchy and exciting. But the history of Marxism’s original luster shows us eventual aftertastes that in all cases that reek of death decay.
It appears that survival of the Democratic party suddenly depends on whether it has the courage to now take a firm, moral and courageous stand against Socialism, Marxism and Communism. May the wise of the party speak their mind.

Coming off our 250th celebration (at least it should have been) let me presume to offer my unsolicited two cents.
As America marks its 250th year, it is tempting to blame our troubles on the villain of the moment: the Democratic Socialists of America, populists, billionaires, universities, or whichever faction dominates today’s headlines. That temptation is understandable—and misplaced.
The deeper problem is that we have asked politics to do work it was never designed to do.
Politics cannot provide identity, purpose, friendship, virtue, or belonging. Those are the responsibilities of families, churches, schools, neighborhoods, and the countless civic institutions that once formed Americans into citizens. As those institutions have weakened, we have burdened politics with impossible expectations. Every election becomes a struggle for national redemption. Every disagreement becomes a moral crusade. Every defeat feels existential.
The DSA’s appeal is less a cause than a symptom. Young Americans confronting economic uncertainty, social isolation, and fading confidence in traditional institutions naturally search for meaning somewhere. Increasingly, they find it in political movements that promise certainty and community.
The answer is not simply to defeat one ideology with another. If we fail to renew the institutions that cultivate responsibility, character, and citizenship, today’s socialist enthusiasm will merely yield to tomorrow’s populism or some other fashionable radicalism.
America has survived profound divisions before because our republic was built not on perfect leaders but on strong institutions and citizens capable of self-government.
The task before us in our 250th year is therefore neither nostalgia nor panic. It is the patient work of rebuilding the civic foundations that make liberty possible. Politics cannot save a people who have forgotten how to govern themselves.
I’m sure Lindsey Grahams sister is a lovely lady and it’s touching to let her ceremoniously occupy his seat temporarily till the end of this term. But the aura of entitlement for a political neophyte to “run for the seat” when the primary “qualification” is that your his sister is not a good look.
I almost prefaced my comment with an apology, but I shouldn't do that.
Do your DSA stuff. When it doesn't work, and you inevitably start killing people, please don't come to me for advice. You made your bed, now you have to lie in it.
But know that I will be scribbling down notes, and leave them for others to find.
The same thing the Democrat party has always craved, ultimate power. The only thing different is a newer, younger face with a brashness that the old, sclerotic party bosses were smart enough to mask while accusing the other side of everything they were covertly pursuing. If nothing else, one has to appreciate the new generation’s honesty.
Where will it Go? All one need do is look at the shithole cities that Democrats rule – angry mobs roaming the streets, looting, destroying property, assaulting and terrorizing residents, ignoring the second amendment, kneecapping law enforcement – all without consequence. At least so far. I doubt any of the DSA comrades ever heard of Isaac Newton, and I’m certain they’re ignorant of his third law of motion - “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. When one object exerts a force on a second object, the second object simultaneously exerts a force equal in magnitude and opposite in direction on the first object”. Sooner or later, they will be educated.
