I am an Irish Catholic from Pittsburgh. We aren’t terribly focused on evil usually. We thank God for our blessings every day. We love our children and grandchildren, our families. The same as you do. Now all good people must look at this eruption of evil and fight back. Please know that so, so many of us are crying for your families. We love your children too. You are not alone.

"Now all good people must look at this eruption of evil and fight back." Too bad the left and their left wing rioter buddies don't believe what you said. They ally themselves with the terrorist, Hamas. They ally themselves with brutal, torturing, rapist, murders.

We must stand firm with Israel but we also have to fight those shit for brains, assholes who support these mass murderers who are now rioting in our streets and university campuses.

These leftist “students’ lack critical thinking skills. They are sheep. They don’t even know why they are rioting and protesting. Lies and hate speech need to be called out as such. We can hope they get bored and move on or get arrested any time they tiptoe over the line of legal nonviolent free speech protest.

Thank you for your comment and your support. Some of the content coming out of Ireland is downright frightening. I know it’s not “collective.” But scary nonetheless.

Most of them from the other barbaric countries, raised with this mentality.

We can’t reason with the unreasonable. We can’t argue with the indoctrination. We are shouting into the void. I have lost hope for how to combat this form of hatred. It is visceral and ubiquitous. It has always been here and it will never go away.

We just need to do the next right thing. Pray and do not lose hope. Faith and courage.

we need to do more than that. We need to vote in conservatives with backbones.

Ditto from a Gentile Protestant. Never again is now.

Your people, the American people, stand with you and next to you. I will make sure you and your children, all of our children are safe. We must be strong together. We must fight back this ugliness in our country and around the world.

And now we see a piece of Shani Louk’s skull has been found. This brutal terrible disgusting kidnapping, rape and now confirmed murder was broadcasted for the world to see. Ten times worse then Emitt Till, a hundred times worse than George Floyd yet with no outrage. Why? Because she is white. Most of the world has accepted some of the worst videotaped murders of white women these past three years with barely shrug. We should all be worried and vigilant.

Beautifully written, Nani. I’m a Catholic married 36 years to a Jew. My husband’s uncle who passed recently was a Holocaust survivor. I can’t imagine what he would think today. He was the epitome of joy after tragedy. The Jewish people are strong people. They rise from the ashes. It’s time for the non-Jews to rise up with you. My faith is intertwined in yours and we stand side by side. Sending love and hugs to your children.

I stand with the Jewish people. The world has gone mad. Sending you and your children love xxxxxx

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and fears. Very moving. This hatred is shocking to me, a non-Jew whose closest friends are Jews. I thought I was smart, that I knew enough, but it wasn't enough. I was naive, and now committed to learning and advocating.

The hatred and evil you’re seeing in America is not shared by most of your fellow citizens. We detest it as much as you do. I’m truly sorry to be watching this evil happening in our own country.

I agree but it is disheartening how many new recruits have adopted this age old hatred.

Such a moving and beautiful piece. I am in tears as I write this. You put into words exactly how I feel. We, the Jewish people will persevere. Am Yisrael Chai!

I’m an Italian American Catholic (with a very inclusive view of spirituality) and I stand with you. I fear for what is happening to the world and the world I’m raising my daughter in too. There is no nuance here. Some things - this especially- are just black and white. Right and wrong. Evil vs good. We have to come together and drown the extremist voices. There are more of us than them. When will we do something?

I’m an Episcopalian Christian from Texas and I stand with you. The cowards and psychopaths spewing hatred towards Jews also hate America. Real America still loves you. God bless you and yours.

The fear is real. The “intergenerational trauma” is like a kick in the gut. Thank you for putting to bold words the thoughts rolling around in my head on repeat.

America has lost its moral compass and I mourn because of the fact that EVIL is right in front of our eyes and we don't see it. My faith is a biblical faith so it is very easy for me to stand with Israel and Gods chosen people. I can't even imagine the fear and the pain you must be dealing with right now. It has been a harrowing and frightening few weeks. I am so thankful for so many podcasters who have shared stories and history via so many Jewish guests. I have learned so much more historically over the last 2 weeks. I will ALWAYS be a strong voice for Jews. I stand with you but unfortunately I cannot experience your pain but I can only imagine.

I feel all those things, radiating throughout the day. Some days I get a few hours respite, get busy and am able to forget, for a time. And then the overwhelming fear, sorrow, uncertainty, take over and I’m fighting back tears that creep up. Thank you for writing this piece, explaining the rawness of the days, emotions and thoughts. Thank you to all the people writing comments, standing by us. It means so much.

Beautiful piece. I am suffering too, every moment of the day infused with this tragedy and now praying for the only possible recovery: a victory for Israel in Gaza.

Moving and heart wrenching. The Jews, who have provided so much to civilization and have suffered so much in the course of it, deserve better. At a minimum, Israel, their homeland, needs the protection and support of all free peoples, not least because the evil it faces is not constrained to attack just the Jews as Martin Niemöller warned: "First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out. Finally, they came of me, and there was no one left to speak out for me."

As was written below, I too, have been shocked to my core by the absolute hatred and vitriol being directed to us. How could we have so underestimate that our contributions and our values still make us hated. The barrage of hate and violence against Jews taking place now is terrifying. Bring back the JDL. We must be warriors now, stand up and be proud. Am Israel Chai

It will never matter what we do to prove our humanity or worth. They will hate us no matter what. This is a universal truth that will never end. Which is why the State of Israel is so critical to our survival. Not because we are colonizers or hate Arabs but because there is nowhere else for us to go.

You are 100% right. I have come to the same horrible conclusions. They just hate us to a degree that has shocked me

You are not alone. I am aghast at what has happened, and is happening. I am simply speechless that the aggressors have become the victims, and the victims are being called the aggressors. The progressive left has created this narrative, and we cannot give them any more power. I pray for Israel and your people every day.
