Thank you Free Press for publishing her testimony.

She is a brave woman and has gonads to stand up to the federal government. She needs to be a contributor to the Free Press.

She is a true patriot who is standing up for all of us. How interesting that the much-maligned Fox News is supporting their former employee while the much-vaunted CBS is not....who is really supporting democratic freedoms?

I always liked Catherine Herridge and have considered her to be the epitome of investigative journalism. Hope protection of sources remains, she gave great testimony.

The tricky thing with anonymous sources is that when they help Democrats they are always spooks and perverts perpetrating a hoax in order to harm Americans.

Catherine Herridge’s sources, on the other hand, are probably very real and need to stay anonymous because otherwise Democrats will send pansexual sociology majors in tactical gear to throw flashbangs into their living rooms.

And then an MSNBC contributor/lawyer will spend the next five years bankrupting them.

This is a regime, folks.

It’s shocking but not surprising but the assault on the press goes back to the Obama administration and BO3.0 continues with MSM backing these activities. What’s the connection with Catherine Herridge and Uri Berliner’s Mea culpa of NPR bias and lack of viewpoint diversity? It’s definitely not Trump. It’s a strict ideological progressive worldview where the ends justify the means. Wishing brave journalists like Herridge, Atkinson, Shellenberger, Greenwald, Taibbi, Weiss and all their colleagues Godspeed.

Catherine Herridge is an endangered species, a real journalist. She is who Jefferson had in mind when he called for a free and impartial press.

It's confusing how no attempts were made to have CNN, MSNBC, The NYT, et.al. divulge their "confidential sources" when they were claiming Trump enlisted Russian collusion to steal an election from Hillary.

Even after the Mueller Report showed those claims were flat out lies, no one looked into these "sources".

I wonder why?

Can't imagine CBS doing this to, say, Norah O'Donnell, John Dickerson, Margaret Brennan or any of the "investigative reporters" on 60 Minutes. They are all true to the internal narrative. Catherine was the only true journalist on staff at CBS.

OMG...we are farther along to becoming a communist country than I had imagined. Just like Jimmy Lai in Hong Kong...no citizen is safe from the leftist progressive agenda.

I remember fondly the good old days in college when we thought only Richard Nixon was an existential threat to freedom of the press. Katherine Graham and Ben Bradlee didn’t fire Woodward and Bernstein because John Mitchell threatened them and WaPo over Watergate. She backed her people because she knew that their work was solid and accurate. Today the media not only withholds accurate relevant stories, it helps spread false ones. At least Tass, Pravda and Izvestia were honest about what they were!
