It is worth noting that the Free Press does not mention the two persons responsible for progress in the Iran and Ukraine negotiations: Witkoff and Kushner.

Dave Osborne's avatar

Quite a series of comments on the AI article. I hope TFP takes these comments to heart and steps up its research and real journalism to continue to provide a value proposition.

I might have lost something, but the casual mention of "Paramount, the parent company of The Free Press" caught me by surprise. Is The Free Press still free?

Fritz N. Burt's avatar

It still strikes me as pretty free, journalistically, but it was acquired by Paramount in October 2025. Part of that deal made Bari the editor in chief of news at CBS. Overall I haven’t noticed any changes (certainly not negative anyway), except they appear to have more financial resources for podcasts, stories, and hiring of additional writers.

So tell us what is the FDA approval for depression

Give us the raw data and the references

Otherwise do not claim it is news

paul goldberg's avatar

Do not believe a word about Iran

They are harbingers of death to the west either through their attainment of nuclear capabilities or their extreme radical ideologies about the world.

Steve G's avatar

True, but the Iranians are pikers compared to the Chinese.

paul goldberg's avatar

That is true and they are in the same group with a few other countries

Apparently 90%. Of China crude oil g come from Iran.

Iran are religious dictators

China Is a dictator based in world view that he wants to control the world not blow it up and kill all the Jews.

US and Iran in Talks - seems like a headline from 100 years ago, same with US-Russia-Ukraine in talks. Israel and Hamas negotiate.....I expect to see the Hatfield and McCoy's meet for talks by the river.

I just learned that Maureen Comey, James Comey's daughter, ran DOJ's Epstein investigation/prosecution for over ten years until Trump fired her last year. Why isn't she sitting in front of Congress explaining things?

Clarity Seeker's avatar

Hey hey, ho ho, Western culture's got to go. Mr Eig left that one out. And today the culture war is worse than ever as we witnessed last week in Munich when Rubio and Tik Tick A Ock made clear how stark the contrast between the two cultural forces happen to be.

Alexandria Occasional-Cortex (credit another commenter) made a frightening show of her utter lack of knowledge or understanding of the world. BUT, she can fundraise and is a proper D party toady so she’s not going anywhere for quite a while I fear.

Clarity Seeker's avatar

No she isn't. And there are more voters who watch tik tok than who read or think( on both sides but especially hers , and they like the idea of free stuff )

'In Defense of Processed Foods' - 'Now here’s the good news: The industry goo is great.' Ok......so lets see here. It appears our good buddy Jan Dutkiewicz who is the author of this fine book is also an assistant professor at the Pratt Institute, who, if you didn't know, is currently in the throws of actively addressing bias in their library systems by identifying, updating, or replacing harmful, outdated subject headings in their catalog with more equitable terminology as well as trying like hell to bury the controversy over it's calls to boycott the government Israel and to divest any investments that have ties in any way to Israel. He's also a contributing editor to......wait for it......The New Republic and regular writer for Vox. Seems like a straight shooter right? Just to prove how right he is, he gives an unquestionable antidotal story about how a can of pumpkin filling is good for us because the 'stuff in these cans is nutritionally identical to a fresh pumpkin (ahem, squash) & it will sit safely on your shelf for 900 days or more without spoiling.' If you follow this guy on X, he sounds like a lunatic. Here's one of his posts. 'Two weeks ago, Grindr put on a fashion show of wool from "gay" rams rescued from slaughter. The media and the Internet swooned. But this feel-good story is a window into the dark role of forced reproduction in animal agriculture.' Yes.....that is actually one of his posts......I'm not shitting you.

Here's the part that Professor 'I need to double up on my SSRI's' Dutkiewicz left out. Currently 11 of America’s top food companies are being sued over their ultra processed foods. This would include Coca-Cola, General Mills, Kraft Heinz, Mars, Nestle, PepsiCo, Post, Mondelez International, Kellanova (formerly part of Kellogg’s cereal business). BTW.....they all admit that they sell ultra-processed food knowing that they are harmful to health. Scientific research and nutritionists have published paper after paper showing that diets high in ultra-processed food lead to chronic diseases like obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease and depression.” (and cancers) By some estimates, more than 70%+ of the food consumed in the United States is ultra-processed.

BTW......you don't have to be a scientist to see the impact of all of this shit, you just need to have eyes. Look around you.....our population is sick and extremely unhealthy and it's not because we didn't eat enough pumpkin filling. Look at a beach photo from last month and compare it to one from 1950. Only a wealthy, mentally ill, white women & their beta partners won't see what's as clear as day.

I fucking give up.

You don't hate the media enough - you think you do, but you don't. https://x.com/Evans_Wroten

Thanks for commenting so I don't have to. What a ridiculous "article" by someone who clearly profits from people consuming large quantities of ultra processed foods and want very much for them to keep doing it, consequences be damned.

With you 99%. There was a great book review out last Saturday in WSJ on The Epic History of Macaroni and Cheese. In moderation.

Thanks, you put a slant on this that I didn’t know. Dutkiewicz is an industry insider; I suspect he, like the Harvard team that Big Sugar bribed in the 60s, is spinning a tale to keep UPFs selling despite their obvious health hazards.

You win the prize sir.

“New Mexico lawmakers approved bipartisan legislation to investigate alleged sex crimes that took place at Jeffrey Epstein’s Zorro ranch, located about 30 miles south of Santa Fe.”

They will start by asking local criminal aliens if they saw anything suspicious.

757sean's avatar

Everything bad that happened everywhere could be something to investigated.

Don’t you care about the victims?

(And while we’re investigating stuff, everybody will ignore everything else that’s broken…)

Kevin Durant?'s avatar

This timely investigation by Democrats of crimes committed when Wayne Gretzky was playing hockey will be followed by an investigation of the murder of Julius Caesar.

757sean's avatar

Of course, you have to have the headline about “The Great One” not being that great.

Mark's avatar

Durant is just a troll who tries to stir people up. Just ignore him...he will eventually go away.

Mike Gustine's avatar

You seem to be the troll here. But there are plenty of them in these comments (and pretty much any comment section you care to mention).

Steve G's avatar

If Kevin “goes away” so does a good portion of this readership.

I appreciate trolling sometimes. Reaching Michael Malice’s level is very difficult.

They actually should have called the COVID injections Roundup™️ because that was much more of a cattle-like phenomenon.

Oh good. They will still consider “viewpoints” so the Democrat HR lady can still ask applicants if they have sufficient hatred for white Christians and obtain the same catastrophic results.

Now we just wait until we figure out which animal eats these mushrooms in the wild so Democrats can call it Goat Medicine and ban us from talking about it.
