I have so been living and working in Asia for more than 25 years and trying to balance between owning property and making a livelihood on multiple continents that I failed to see that there are other things going on in the wider world...

Writing a piece about a genuine bit of news from one of the most important current conflicts in the world which has been almost completely ignored by the MSM is somehow elevating Israel to a higher level of importance than the United States? Yes the Presidential election is important, but we can all walk and chew gum at the same time. This story is important too.
It might be a waste of time for you, who have no skin in the game, so obviously don't care what's happening there. For many of us though it's our home being destroyed and if we lift a finger to defend it we will be demonized.

Israel has a population of slightly under 10million souls while the USA has a population nearing 335million souls. That's roughly a ratio of 33.5 to 1.
I care 33.5 times LESS about Israel than I do about the United States. No less, and no more.
But of course, you will never encounter a more ferocious Zionist than me. What troubles me most is that the United States, Israel's greatest friend ever, and the greatest bulwark against evil the world has ever known, is being ruined from within. This is a MUCH more significant story and a MUCH more important matter.
Although not unexpected , this news is nonetheless tragic. Israel under siege yet again. When will the world wake up to the fact that Israel must be protected? This is on the ground reality; every loss for Israel means more advantage to the radical islamists. I have so much admiration for the courage, strength and perseverance of the Israeli people. May they be blessed and protected from enemies on all sides.
