Still, it suggests the actual disparity between the amount the government spends on migrants is far greater than the amount a local makes working an actual job.

At one point, “asylum” was a narrow category. But smartphones mean that every single person crossing the border, whether from Punjab, Russia or Ecuador, knows exactly what story to tell when they cross. While I don’t begrudge any individual from trying to come here, let’s acknowledge that 99.99% of the migrants’ asylum claims are fraudulent. Yes, they probably come from difficult lives and want something better, but that is not the same thing as seeking political asylum. I am against the illegal immigrant influx. However, I have a hard time sympathizing with those who came illegally who are now complaining. Just because they came earlier and in smaller numbers, doesn't make what they did right or fair to those who came legally or are legit US citizens.
