The inability for the writers to dissect the Carlson/Putin interview for what it was, is amazing. Lumping Carlson and "the right" into some Putin love fest is intellectually limp wristed and dilutes the true importance of the story from the other side. He sat down with him and asked questions. Just like other journalists have done with global leaders, both friend and foe, for decades. Putin gave a history lesson on Russia and Ukraine that sounded cogent and rational, even though I have no clue of it being factual. You'd think that Savodnik could have picked that apart had it been full of inaccuracies, but dodging that 35 minutes of the interview in this story sorta speaks volumes. Instead he cherry picks statements said by Carlson to put him in the worst possible light. Here's a thought Bari.......why not just have Savodnik do a video interview with Tucker? That way he can critique him directly and we get to see Tuckers response. I'm gonna guess that Carlson would factually beat Savodnik like a rented mule.
