I am grateful for the whole staff of TFP -- and Bari for gathering this bunch of menschen! Funny, thoughtful, curious as hell. (Where has this hilarious River Page been??) And I get to read all of your stuff. And put in my 2 cents, on a daily basis, hah! What on earth did I read of a morning before TFP? Oh, right... [yay, Mabel!]
A suggestion for The Free Press .. it is the time of giving and gifts after all.
To further spread the word and reach of TFP please allow subscribers to 'gift' one article a week. The receiving reader has full access to the article instead of being blocked by the paywall.
Teasing people with partial articles is not pnly irritating but bad for business.
I am thankful that I found this community of TFP readers and commenters and that I have become a part of this community. It is a rewarding and satisfying feeling.
I’m grateful for a lot of things this year, most of all, family who I hold dear despite our differences.
But I have to say that I am so thrilled that I subscribed to The Free Press this year. In what was I describe as a news desert, given the state of media lately, TFP has made me look forward to clicking my Substack app each day.
So a wholehearted thank you goes out to everyone at TFP!
As I enter my ninth decade I am grateful to be on the green side of the grass. As I continue my travail life gets curious and curiouser, in a good way. I'm not going to end up in the poor house, my 57 year old daughter has raised two outstanding kids, my 32 year old son started a successful business (only in America) and has finally met a beautiful woman who has improved his life, my wife plays pickle ball five days a week and I am pleased with it all.
I just took a scan that indicated I am super healthy. Life is good.
Grateful that gratitude seems to be making a comeback. We are blessed in ways we do not comprehend, so acknowledging what we do see is wonderful and healing.
I loved reading all TFPressers' stories. What a great idea. This is what brings us together. Perhaps it should be a holiday tradition, especially at at a time when differences are magnified and the antidote is to cherish what we have in common. I am grateful to everyone who is brave enough to speak out and fight for this country's freedoms and for justice. When DAs are being paid to circumvent the law and not to do their jobs, when celebrities are being paid to say words without passion or meaning, and children are missing in the hundreds of thousands, we have lost that for which this country stands - freedom, truth, and justice. I am grateful we now have a chance to repair and heal. We're being tested and I am grateful for the opportunity to support those who will fight for us and for communities like this one where I can find others with similar hearts and minds. Blessings to you all!
I'm grateful for my 4 kids. six grandchildren, wife of 53 years, and enough savings to indulge my feelings of joy when I can make their lives a little bit better and easier. Family is the most important thing in the world!
Almost forgot- I'm grateful for The Free Press which validates my thoughts and feelings. See-I ain't crazy after all!
Things that seemed bad at the time that we are now grateful for. Our ages 12 to 75 Thanksgiving table of 14 had a whole convo about it, re our own lives. I can also add here that I was losing my mind for the last decade over the excesses of the intersectional left, the antisemitism and its smug self-righteousness. All its institutional capture. It seemed awful and irreversible at the time, but I am now grateful for it, because I was wrong about irreversibility, it brought us the Normie Coalition that won us the 2024 election, and promises a Normie Majority for years to come. Thanks, pronoun people. You guysies made it possible! P.S. it's also kinda fun watching your heads figuratively explode, but I promise my schadenfreude will end on December 1 at 12:01 a.m. because more than 25 days of it is not productive. For now, indulge me.
This was a fun and thoughtful column. Thank you!
I'm grateful for Dr. Mike Yeadon, formerly a research scientist with Pfizer, for his courage. https://substack.com/@timthagoras/note/c-79456744?utm_source=notes-share-action&r=ibbvo

Happy Thanksgiving to all Americans .. with love and appreciation from Africa.
My gratitude for the sacrifices made by my parents and the 800 generations that preceded them ..
I adore you Miracle Mabel even though I don't even know you. Live long and prosper sweetie!!
Just to be clear, unlike what one writer asserted, the US is not unique in having a national day of Thanksgiving. In fact , it was not even the first.

I'm grateful to be on this side of the dirt. At my age, that's a big deal.

"...America, unique among countries, puts aside one day a year for its citizens to offer thanks for all that we have been given."
This will come as a shock to our Canadian neighbors.
We've already had our Thanksgiving back in October and are thankful for most of the same things.
