I am.curjous how diverse the fans were at MSG last night. No not race but two other categories. How many working class NYers at the Garden? Any sitting near Spike or Stiller? And then there's patriotic diversity? How many will be booing America in a few weeks ( wanna hate Trump? That's ok because we have freedom( for now but maybe not in the future as noted in TFP today that swaths of youth don't seem to like america OR EVEN DEMOCRACY( thank R Weingaretn and so many of her educational comrades)). How many in attendance have attended no kings rallies and likely will again on July 4.

Hearing the singing of God Bless America is to many of those entitled Knicks fans what garlic is to Dracula.

At a reported $10k+ for top row seats? None. Reports were also mentioning 6-figure prices on reselling sites.

Gotta wonder who paid tax to mamasboy on their profits??

Unfortunately true!

Lanny, as George M Cohan said: you ain't heard nothing yet

You and I have both have made clear on these pages that we do not care for many things trump has said or done. But ee view him as a flawed man who still has done many good things ( generally not when it comes to communication) and we vote based in the whole package. And mostly america and our values and history ( good and bad) are bigger than any one person. We dont want it all tirn down ( as the 1619 project and countless politicians on the left do).

Before 2015 if America was asked who is the quintessential NYer, is there any doubt who would be named? Trump was NY personified. Brash, outlandish, overly confident and smug. And a big nasty mouth. Sort of like thr actor Bobby who today might win the prize. And who throws F bombs like an infantry man might throw grenades. And he has his women problems too.

Lastly ( for now) ,NY and many NYers have looked down upon so much of middle and southern America for generations ( even those who moved to the big apple who often insult their less enlightened ancestors). So heres a fun fact ( it ain't funny) that i ask native NYers about often and many have no idea about the history.

In 1863 , the north needed more soldiers as two years enlistment ended and tired soldiers said no.mas and went home. Lincoln instituted a draft . In NY one could avoid being drafted if they could pay something like $300. Those who could not afford it ( most) would ve going to war. This didn't sit well and led to rioting where black NYers were lynched . Eventually Lincoln called in the army to put down the riots. I learned about this when I read The Gangs of NY ( a history book not fiction). Perhaps NY kids today are taught about the lynchings but I know many many born and raised in NYC who responded: I never knew that.

And in Canadian news - On Thursday evening, senators voted 45–13 to approve Bill C-9, or “An Act to amend the Criminal Code (hate propaganda, hate crime, and access to religious or cultural places).” There were two abstentions, and 35 senators were not even on site to vote on the bill.

Canada following Europe into the abyss. When will our neighbors to the north wake-up? July 4, 1776 should have been the wake-up, so Canada continues to march willingly.

Because it is a sickening attack -- a Somalian attempted to behead a man in Belfast last night. It was right along the old Peace line. People from both sides of the divide (Protestant and Catholic) came together to save the man (he remains in critical condition). The assailant was apparently shouting all too familiar. Kier Starmer has called it a sickening attack. Last I knew the victim was alive. The BBC originally called it a stabbing but it went far beyond that. Do not go searching for the footage as it is horrific. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/06/09/belfast-stabbing/ or https://archive.ph/MJfZ6

As always thank you for keeping us in the loop on the news from your side of the pond that we rarely see here.

This is the BBC live on the incident. It is going to be mentioned and debated in the House of Commons this afternoon. The footage (I have seen a still) is grusome.

Hurling is the Irish form of LaCrosse and the stick would make a good weapon -- the man who intervened was very brave and hopefully saved the other man's life (although it is rumoured that he has suffered life altering injuries) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cr47x99k5n6t

"The Duggal family blames the school for their son’s death. In January, Vaibhav’s parents filed a lawsuit accusing the school of negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and violating their son’s due process rights."

I am sorry for their loss, but these parents share part of the guilt here. This is also a failure of parental education until proven otherwise. This kid may not have been taught how to deal with hardship, and cracked under pressure.

He followed a patient on Instagram. That's such a no-no (unless invited by the patient - even then it’s not a good idea). He obviously liked the patient, which does happen. There is always the cultural angle, too: what’s appropriate in certain cultures is not in others. I myself had a cultural shock when immigrating to America.

On the other hand, unless he was harassing her, this should not have risen to a disciplinary action, just an educational moment. Mistakes do happen, and young people should be taught how to deal with them, without major repercussions. But this is how f-ed up American universities and corporations are. I don't even know who to root for in this lawsuit.

Sorry, but it wasn't the email that was the cause of his suicide; it was his own bad behavior. However, that won't line the pockets of the parents, so they go after the school. If I were a betting robot, my guess would be that mom and pops are libsters.

Excellent comment.

When do folks take responsibility for their own actions?

I follow @KevinnBass on X

Texas Tech admitted him as as MD PhD student

He earned his PhD there in molecular biology.

then Covid hit

Kevin Bass was initially supportive of the government's response, until he researched the matter and realized we were being lied to .

He posted about it on Twitter as a scientist - was casually advised to stop posting about Covid on Twitter.

Texas Tech is a State school bound by ConstitutionalLaw

Kevin Bass continued to post - he was his right on the facts

similar OBGYN rotation complaint .Same "advisor" as in this case

Kangaroo hearing- ousted him from finishing med school and smeared him

Lawsuit underway

keep an open mind please

the Metoo movement is very powerful.

OBGYN and Pediatrics are dominated by female social justice warriors.

this is a very effective tactic for destroying students Texas Tech wants to get rid of

There is something very rotten at Texas Tech -there is more going on than this article covered

as there is with most Universities in America.WOKE DEI destroys everything it touches

Almost never in America. There is a HUGE victim culture in this country. Nobody tells people or children negative truths (such as "you're f-ing stupid and you'll have to work harder"), so that they grow up believing that every failure of theirs is other people's fault.

Disa sacks's avatar

We must air the METOO issue

is our culture unable to handle any nuance on the topic ?That this " harassment" issue is fraught with complexity and we should not have a hard and fast rule that the woman is ALWAYS right in a dispute, especially since women these days are often as bad as the men .I don't see anyone talking about this.in the mainstream

strange

It’s the “everybody gets a trophy” generation. It’s the “we don’t keep score” crowd. It’s the “no one loses because losing hurts”. Well, no shit, it’s supposed to hurt and motivate you to not lose next time.

For the young people who think democracy isn't important, they need to go live in China, Iran or Russia for a while and see how much they like it there. What an entitled useless pathetic generation.

Again, Trump is about to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory because some republicans are spineless woosies. Yes lets take foreign policy decisions from people who cant even find the US on a map never mind Iran.

It's funny that Bibi is the most hated man in the world, not the genocidal mullahs, Putin or the totalitarian Xi, or Islamist barbarians. But Bibi who is also the only leader besides Zelensky who is working to protect his citizenry from genocide. But I get it, he's hated because he wont let Islamists nutters slaughter, rape and butcher Jews like they want to. There wont be another October 7 no matter how much the world's human garbage wants one. Bad Bibi, Bad Bibi.

There is something so not right about what just happened in LA. Not saying there was cheating, but there is definitely something wrong with the election process in that state. It really is like its a banana republic. It reminds me of voting under Maduro. Whatever we do, we cannot let the US become a larger version of California. We really don't have to let this country become a 3rd world hellhole.

California has legalized voter fraud. No ID, automatic registration, universal mail-in ballots, mass harvesting operations, and counting for weeks make it impossible to trust or audit the system. If this happened in any other country we would consider their elections invalid. Thanks to investigative journalists like James O'Keefe, a woman was federally charged for paying homeless people on skid row to vote. Can TFP do this work instead of parroting MSM talking points that any skepticism is baseless misinformation?

Communists burned down Pratt's home. Now they have stolen an election from him because they couldn't let him expose their incompetence and fraud for 5 more months. Raman's surge is statistically impossible. She was further behind Pratt than he was behind Bass after election night, during which she cried in her speech - all but conceding defeat. Los Angeles will now choose between a foreign-born communist and the incumbent communist. Anyone running cover for this blatant corruption is as much a joke as California.

there was and is cheating
